BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH WEEKEND BLOG

SEPTEMBER 20TH - welcome to the "take it home" edition of the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH BLOG.  In the end, what a weekend.  I haven't seen much of the event with my own two eyes, but fans and superstars alike were raving about the card itself match for match.  Combined with the meet & greet, raffles, auctions for charity, etc., it was a great night at Memorial Hall and we look forward to our return (give me a minute). . .

Last night was the Boogeyman Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping and it is one to own if you're interested in a behind the scenes look at WWE in recent years from one of the companies more interesting superstars.  The Boogeyman really let his guard down and we got a look inside his head with his own personal thoughts. . .can't wait to get this one in the editing room.  After the taping, had another 30th birthday party to finish off a tremendous weekend.  We had travel headaches, we had some talent "confusion" that appears to have been resolved. . .there are many, many surprises coming your way, both in and out of the MWF. . .

If you were with us this weekend, we thank you so much - without the fans, there wouldn't be a nine year history to look back upon.  If you weren't, check out some of the upcoming videos on this site and see what you missed - I guarantee a true professional wrestling fan will enjoy our product a great deal. . .

It was a long, long summer with many twists and turns. . .the excitement, build-up and disappointment in regards to Daniel Bryan. . .big announcements coming non-stop with huge talents and matches. . .all of the merchandising, autograph, big ticket items fans had a chance to win. . .joining the world of Twitter. . .overall, it was a winner. . .solid crowd on hand. . .couple of talent and travel headaches we could have done without, but all in all, a winner. . .and in two nights, four months worth of unrelenting work and effort is over. . .

Check out the MWF event page for not one but two MWF TV tapings in Everett with a special offer from President Cena - if you get your tickets in advance, you can attend BOTH events for only $15!  Not $15 each event, $15 total.  We're also making our debut in the great state of North Carolina Saturday, November 13th, which everyone is looking forward to a great deal. . .

So that wraps up another one. . . . .as usual, as an independent wrestling organization, we're not perfect, there's always room for improvement. . . and I think that's a great transition into ROAD TO THE GOLD:  Rage In The Kage Saturday, January 8th back at Memorial Hall in Melrose. . .

SEPTEMBER 19TH - hey MWF fans. . .the body might be half asleep by the brain is still pumping for whatever odd reason.  I'm sure a much more detailed BLOG about our anniversary weekend tonight as the week continues - the weekend's only half over, as we rock n roll with The Boogeyman tomorrow night at MWF Studios in what should be a very interesting Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping. . .

A lot of positives to take out of tonight. . .I didn't get a chance to see much of the event but was told that people loved it, and it's the fans opinions that count more than anything.  We thank everyone that was on-hand for our biggest crowd in Melrose to date, up for our previous high back in April.  That's really cool and we appreciate your support tonight, and every night over the past nine years. . .I couldn't be prouder to have the majority of the athletes we have on our roster. . .

Last night I became sicker than I've been in ages, not sure if it was the chicken or the adult beverages I had, but I clogged a hotel bathtub.  The complete story on that one will have to be saved for the book, along with how I woke up found myself freezing. . .if you've ever seen the movie "The Hangover," it was all that minus the tiger in the bathroom.

The first fire to put out was the Boogeyman missing his early morning flight, as he and Shelton Benjamin were supposed to be on the same flight.  Boogey wasn't able to get out of Texas until 1:30PM and got to the venue - very late.  Mad dash to get ready while we ran auctions and raffles and he was good to go. . .

Cannot say enough good things about Shelton Benjamin. . .a world class athlete and a fine human being, really enjoyed having him at the event and him joining us for dinner afterwards.  The 5 Way Sudden Death TV Title Match was one of the best from what I'm told, I look forward to calling the action on the October MWF ULTRA.  If you weren't there tonight, you'll kick yourself. . .I hope to see Shelton back here in the very near future, that might be one thing President Cena and I agree on. . .

It was an honor for Jay Lethal's first match after winning the TNA X-Division Championship to be right here in Melrose. . .Jay has been with us now for three years. . .it's amazing how time flies. . .another class act and tremendous athlete, can't say enough good things about him. . .

While we were waiting for Boogeyman to get ready, we had a series of raffles and auctions that I thought were a lot of fun and different from the norm.  The fans got some great prizes, and the lucky fan that won the autographed event poster chose for the money to go to our good friend at Special Olympics Massachusetts. . .we had many folks from SOM at the event tonight. . .

And with that said, the negatives. . .two talent related issues. . .one I'll chalk up to some form of miscommunication with TNA in a three way type deal that was fixed but a headache that wasn't needed. . .the other one I was absolutely livid about and one I'm going to address first hand. . .if the situation is made right, it remains private. . .if it's not made right, I'm always happy to have open, interesting communication with the fans. . . .we have always tried to go above and beyond to do the right thing, and to be disrespected the manner we were tonight is something we absolutely not tolerate. . . in 2010, there's a lot of quality superstar talent out there looking for bookings, let me tell you. . .I'm willing to take the high road on this one for now and see what the individuals themselves have to say. . .

Heavy eyelids are telling me it's time for bed. . .this is going to be a very interesting week in the MWF with tons of live event and superstar news. . .the fall and winter are looking very exciting as we head towards SOUL SURVIVOR VII March 19th. . . .

SEPTEMBER 17TH - welcome to what may be the final pre-BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH event BLOG.  As you can tell going through the paragraphs below going back to Memorial Day, it's been quite a ride with many ups, downs and speedbumps along the way.  Physical and mental exhaustion cannot even begin to describe what an undertaking like this is really like - I encourage everyone to Twitter along with us this weekend so you can really get a feel for what it's like.  I'm sure there will be many funny, interesting "tweets" to go along with those that make you want to pull your hair out. . .

. . .like tonight with ol' Sheiky Baby.  As usual, he keeps life interesting (is that PC?).  A headache with Western Union, dealing with a call center half way around the world that made the Sheik's English sound good.  Another Sheik tale of a "car breaking down" (heard that one many, many times).  Nonetheless, it will be good to see long time member of the MWF as he belongs at an anniversary event like this.  He'll be spending a great deal of time with Todd Hanson to get him ready for "Stalker" Dylan Kage and that sleazebag Paul Bearer Saturday night. . .

Our friends at WWE sent one hell of a giant package to Mirade Hill tonight, I couldn't even get the damn thing in the house it was so heavy (and I'll be feeling it in the back or feet in the morning).  We literally already have our "main event" raffle items similar to the John Cena autographed WrestleMania plaque available this Saturday lined up for our next few big events. . . we hope you'll indulge and buy a few raffle tickets as it helps the cause. . .

Hearing rumors of a big day at MWF Headquarters tomorrow. . .I will likely be at Memorial Hall overseeing the grunt work as the configuration of the building probably changed at least a half dozen times and nearly broke my right hand punching the inside of my left hand (smart).  Frustration and sleep depravation kick in from time to time.  I understand that officials from JBL's Uprising stable will be meeting with President Cena and the MWF Board of Directors in the early afternoon, which could be every interesting.  Is Layfield trying to get his athletes out of any of the matches they have signed contracts for??  Interesting stuff there. . .

If I'm unable to speak to you again here on the BLOG before Saturday, thank you so much for your interest in our product and our anniversary weekend event.  It's been a tough road at times but this weekend is the payoff.  We have structured this event to give every athlete on the card a chance to shine, steal the show and blow the roof off of Memorial Hall, never mind the fanfest, auctions, raffles, merchandise deals and so much more.

While we have plenty of lodge seats left for the BBBB Saturday, try to get to Memorial Hall a little early if you want floor seating as those are close to gone and I know we only have a couple of front row tickets left (literally).  If I can get permission from the powers that be, I'd love to scan and show you the computerized drawing of the building set-up and all of the changes made to it. . . we never expected a day of ticket sales like Tuesday, and believe me, in independent wrestling, that is a blessing. . .the bigger and hotter the crowd, the more pumped the athletes are going to be when they go to war. . .

* * *

SEPTEMBER 16TH - Shelton Benjamin's tweeting about it. . .Jim Ross is BLOGing about it. . .Paul Bearer is Facebooking it. . .The Iron Sheik's. . .I don't know, maybe thinking about it. . .48 hours from now, the MWF's official Twitterpalooza begins where you get a one of a kind look at how an weekend of this magnitude operates behind the scenes. . .the good, the bad, the stress, the excitement. . . we hope you'll join us on our new technological adventure. . .

Was up until almost 5AM last night trying to reconfigure the venue as front row tickets sold out, so we're "building" a row on a side of the ring we don't normally use at Memorial Hall to handle the overflow. . .I guess that's not a bad "problem" to have, but sleep is scarce at this point. . .the work at this point is down to dotting the i's and crossing the t's to make sure every aspect of the weekend is covered. . .

We have a few Front Row tickets left, which you can reserve via email and pay for at Memorial Hall Saturday night.  Online ticket ordering remains for the Boogeyman Studio Shoot Interview taping Sunday.

SEPTEMBER 15TH - what a day. . .as noted on our Facebook page, a huge THANK YOU goes out to all of the MWF Superfans that made September 14th the biggest single ticket selling day in MWF history!  The excitement is building by the hour for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH and Boogeyman Studio Shoot Interview this weekend.  So much tiresome work goes into building these events - daily - for months - and to have a day like today really put some smiles on peoples faces, like we plan to do for you Saturday and Sunday night.  Already working on some cool ideas for VIP's for our next two big events, ROAD TO THE GOLD and SOUL SURVIVOR VII.  Tickets will be available at the door Saturday and are still available online for Sunday's Boogeyman DVD taping.

Phone ringing off the hook. . .Sheiky Baby. . .the Boogeyman. . .Doink the Clown Matt Borne. . .texts, emails. . .late night package organizing as we close up pre-sale ticket sales. . .lot of work to go but we're almost to the finish line. . .hell, it sounds like we're talking about a pregnancy!

Don't forget, we're going to do what I believe is a first for pro wrestling. . .as we kick off the MWF Twitter generation, the official "tweeting" begins at midnight Friday night/Saturday morning and we go all weekend long.  Want to see what it's like behind the scenes.  "Follow us" today (isn't that the inside term??).  I figured out how to post messages, as far as responding goes. . .don't take it personally if I can't figure out how to do it through my cell phone!  BLOG updates may be scarce over the next few days, we might add some of the "tweets" to it when we wrap the BLOG up early next week and start a new one for our next big event. . .

* * *

SEPTEMBER 14TH - .......prep work is nearing completion.  VIP Packages, discounted tickets and the FREE DVD offer go away just after midnight. . .the VIP packages are without a doubt the best value in professional wrestling if you enjoy posing for photos with the stars and/or are an autograph collector.  We'll also kick off the new MWF Twitter account Saturday just after midnight. . .attempted a "test tweet" thru my cell phone to see if it works.  If you're attending the event, there will be updates all day long with what's going on up until bell time, and I'm sure many more after the event. . .we'll try to keep it PG-13 rated.  I could still use a Twitter 101 lesson, but it's a cool new technology people like so it's worth trying it out. . .

Photos of some of the brand new WWE t-shirts we'll have on sale Saturday have been posted on the BBBB Photos page near the bottom (this is just a sample of many of the WWE, TNA and even classic WWF shirts available).  At Raw a few weeks back, the shirts were selling for $25-$30 (even $40 for one of Randy Orton's shirts).  You won't pay anywhere near that at an MWF live event. . .

THANK YOU to all the fans that ordered their tickets today - you'll receive a specific event email from the MWF in addition to your credit card receipt with complete details.  Take advantage of all the special offers we have NOW!

SEPTEMBER 13TH - told that everyone had a good time at the Victorian Fair in Melrose today.  It was a great way to spread the word about our big weekend to the locals, many of whom don't know we're Melrose born and Melrose bred (big surprise considering some in Melrose want us to be a "secret").  Nonetheless, it's almost sad that a week from now, it's going to be all over. . .the BBBB, the Boogeyman shoot. . .it's almost like getting close to Christmas, looking forward to it, stressing about presents & preparing dinner, and then it's all over with until next year. . .

The "good" news is we have two live event tapings in November, and things are REALLY starting to take shape for ROAD TO THE GOLD in January.  The superstars are lining up for this one, we have a tremendous raffle on hand (one that could even trump the Cena WrestleMania plaque), special VIP Package offer ideas, the perfect gift for the wrestling fan on your holiday list (can you believe we're thinking Christmas already??). . .

Nonetheless, don't forget that after Tuesday night, you can no longer purchase tickets online.  No more free DVD's.  No more free autographed Daniel Bryan posters and Cena raffle tickets.  Don't hesitate - get your tickets NOW!

* * *

SEPTEMBER 12TH - wow, a week from now the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH will be over until next year and hopefully enjoying a well deserved post event gathering. . .can't believe it's creeping up on us so fast!  Past couple of days have been filled with "grunt" work, getting supplies ready for the fanfest, getting all of the new merchandise we'll have available ready for sale, preparing packets for VIP's, making sure travel and hotel issues are set. . .all in all, we're in pretty good shape. . .the Victorian Fair is just hours away, as we have a chance to reach out to fellow Melrosians.  If you're in the area, stop by for your chance to win a FREE autographed Rey Mysterio WWE promo photo, pick up an autographed bottle of JR's BBQ sauce and who knows who else may show up??

If that wasn't enough, we'll be spending next Sunday conducting the Boogeyman Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping, the first one Boogey has ever done.  Should be a cool experience for all involved.  If you haven't got your tickets yet to either event, what are you waiting for??

* * *

SEPTEMBER 9TH - The talent calls. . .the building calls. . .airline issues. . .more supplies needed. . .it just never ends in the world of the Millennium Wrestling Federation.  More front row tickets gone for the BBBB, if you're hesitating don't delay!  MWF Superfans packages are already being put together for the big night and for those fans who have already plunked down their hard earned cash, please let us know what photos and/or extra autograph tickets you want so we can reserve them for you - as noted, many styles of the 18 photos listed have limited quantities as we aren't all that interested in lugging them back to MWF Studios. . .

Sheiky Baby will be joining us several times in October, more news on that to come when we have a chance to breath. . .superstars for ROAD TO THE GOLD this winter being signed up. . .busy, exciting, stressful time. . .there's a positive, exciting buzz in the air despite all of the unexpected obsticles we've had to face over the past few weeks, but dedication to the goal will get us to the finish line. . .

* * *

SEPTEMBER 8TH - another extremely busy day. . .finishing up our snail mail efforts. . .trying to figure out a photo issue. . .working on promotional issues. . .talent relations issues. . .someday's it feels like it will never end. . .it would be nice to be able to enjoy the countdown to the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH. . .the fans we here from are excited and looking forward to the action.  Trying to get the "grunt work" done this week should lead to a much more relaxed atmosphere next week. . . we shall see. . . .

This is one I'm sure I'll get a slap on the wrist for, but one thing I'm really sick of are, even though a miniscule minority, the "elitists" in Melrose that thumb their nose at professional wrestling.  Melrose might be a nice suburban city just outside of Boston, but young adults in the city have had a lot of issues with drugs, alcohol and numerous early deaths.  These aren't bad kids from bad families for the most part, they're bored out of their minds!  Melrose offers teenagers next to nothing to do on the weekends, so what do they dabble in??  What looks cool on television.  Melrose wants to have their craft fairs and art shows and symphony and dozens of other things that young adults couldn't give a rats ass about, and these powers that be scratch their heads and wonder why. . .it's unreal.  I remember being invited to one of these "town hall" type meetings and many of the type of person I despise were on the CC list, which led to me unloading. . .and I did that as well tonight. . .

In the MWF, we care about those we work with. . .we do a lot of work for charity, some of which is discussed publicly, some of which is done in private.  I thought it was a complete and utter disgrace that the Melrose "media" ignored Shiloh Pepin (the late Mermaid Girl of Oprah and Discovery Channel fame) coming to Memorial Hall for an event where we raised over $1,800 for her to go to a summer camp for disabled kids months before she died. . .then when she passed away, it was in every newspaper in the country.  But her coming to MELROSE wasn't newsworthy??  Please.  And I'm going to go further than I usually would.  While it wasn't our event, we did everything we could to help hype and promote the Cena's fundraiser for the Kenny Fowler Foundation last month, which raised over $50,000 for the Fowler family, a volunteer firefighter that died on the job.  Last week, we helped the TGIFriday's in Seekonk with their Make A Wish fundraiser that raised over $4,300 to put a smile on kids faces.  I'm very interested to see what the Melrose media and the elite think of the information that was sent along tonight.  Back in April, we had a great crowd by 2010 independent standards, fans from all six New England states and PA, but very few were from Melrose. . .

It's amazing. . .it's a public fact that Memorial Hall itself was bleeding tens of thousands of dollars of tax payer money each year to keep it open.  We have been great renters since 2008, but our events are about the only ones not covered locally.  The Melrose school system is ALWAYS crying poor mouth about something. . .we reached out to the athletic director not once, not twice but three times, and she didn't have the class to respond.  I guess it's better to keep raising fees to play high school sports (which didn't even exist 12 years ago when I graduated) than, dramatic pause, hold an event with a pro wrestling group.  It's always nice to spit in the face of hard working parents in a tough economy so the elite can keep up their phony image. . .even before I split with Linda Mirade, I was always happy the "little Mirade's" never had to live here. . .

Well, enough of that rant.  Who's ready for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH??  Who wants hot action??  Who wants superstars??  Who wants the stars and legends of yesterday, today and tomorrow under one roof to kick some ass??  Melrose might not want us there, but we're gonna be there, and we're gonna blow the roof off Memorial Hall!  Get ready and get your tickets NOW!

* * *

SEPTEMBER 7TH - what a "holiday."  Rushed to MWF Studios to get the discs we needed, stuffed envelopes, printed promotional materials, prepared the e-newsletter, updated the web-site with all the photos that will be available, etc., etc., etc.  Anyone want this gig?  President Cena's out on the yacht while I'm doing a job similar to what's advertised in the back of TV Guide.  With all that said. . . .11 days away!!!

* * *

SEPTEMBER 6TH - Happy Labor Day to all of you hard workers out there (in and out of the ring).  Updates to the supersite about the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH, now just 12 days away!  Commissioner Von Johnson has landed the one, the only Jivin' Jenna Coofer to kick off the big weekend with America The Beautiful.  All 13 of our autographed WWE/TNA autographed photo auctions are now listed.  All of our 8X10 photos available for purchase have been created, they were ready to go online last night but a tired soul with the initials DM forgot the disc at MWF Studios.  Look for them later tonight and start reserving them if you've purchased your tickets already.  If you haven't. . .what on earth are you waiting for??

* * *

SEPTEMBER 4TH - we're just two weeks away from our 9th anniversary weekend - can it really be??

Very busy day online as VIP Front Row Packages are almost gone after a big push last night on Smackdown.  The addition of "Mr. Money In The Bank" Shelton Benjamin tops off an already huge card. . .VIP Front Row Package fans get a FREE Daniel Bryan autographed event poster as well as a FREE raffle ticket for the autographed John Cena WrestleMania XXVI plaque.  With everything you get in the package, it truly is the best value in wrestling.  Price out various wrestling conventions and compare. . .

The samples of the 12x18 posters came earlier in the week and likely something we're not going to have for sell September 18th.  We want to provide fans with quality products and the posters appeared to be hit or miss.  I've heard about fans being disappointed with 8x10's wrestling themed conventions have offered fans.  Our man PJ works hard on the photos and I can't think of any complaints we've heard about them. . .

Two September episodes of MWF TV were ready to roll online and. . .there was a glitch with the disc.  Love situations like this!  Look for two great "go home" programs for BBBB most likely Sunday night.  Also planning on interviews with Shelton and Homicide Sunday night. . .

Working on a BBBB "pre-party" mid week before the event with a couple of our featured superstars. . .keep your eyes peeled on what could be a fun night for a great cause. . .

SEPTEMBER 1ST - September??

The adventure that is the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH continues at what feels like 100MPH speed at this point.  Friday, we learned of two passing's of those in the wrestling family;  "Tough" Tony Borne (father of Doink The Clown Matt Borne, who will be with us live September 18th) and Luna Vachon (who we were going to run an auction for September 18th to help raise money to help her rebuild her home that burnt down in Florida).  Difficult day. . . . . . .Saturday, the best day of the year for me, an afternoon for the ages on a personal level, then attended UFC 118 in Boston with MWF TV Champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury and MMA superstar of the future Rafito Joseph.  First UFC experience that I enjoyed a great deal, reminded me of "the good old days" of going to monthly WWF house shows at the Boston Garden.  At midnight I turned into the proverbial pumpkin having severe muscle spasms from my back to my feet. . . . . . .Sunday, felt like death, could barely get out of bed, but another busy night at the studio. . . . . . . .Monday was another incredibly tense day as no one had heard from Daniel Bryan or President Cena, which led to question after question after question, none of which had answers.  In reality, they had a private meeting before the Raw taping.  Worked for a few hours, then headed into Boston for the 900th Raw.  Was texted complete information just before the event began.  Rushed out of Boston to Bryan's area hotel, where he again showed what a class act he is, signing all of the event posters we were ready to toss, then taping the video with Cena announcing his replacement.  Then, another curveball - we couldn't air the video until Cena had the legal paperwork finalized. . . .Cena took a private plane to Texas while we hung around the hotel for a bit. . . . . .Tuesday, put a "teaser" online with some photos we took in the early hours of the morning.  Worked all day awaiting work from Cena that he had arrived back in Boston from Texas.  Once the call came in, it was another late, late night at MWF Studios editing the announcement video as well as producing our new, updated television commercial. . . . .Wednesday, rushed to the post office to get the commercial shipped off for it's weekend airings, then off to the doctors to find out their power went out. . .stories so good you couldn't make it up. . .the good, the bad, the insane. . . welcome to the wrestling business. . .

September 18th, the line-up is pristine. . .the hard work has been put in. . .you'll see the stars, you'll meet the stars, you'll get the best value in professional wrestling with our VIP Packages. . . please, treat yourself to an exciting weekend as the summer wraps itself up!

AUGUST 29TH - yesterday was an awesome day and night with a rough ending with the back went out again on me after the UFC PPV in Boston.  As usual, work still needs to be done as we're now three weeks away from The Boogeyman Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping. . .

In today's video update, we get the scoop where "Million Dollar Investment" Tommaso Ciampa of JBL's Uprising is in an awful lot of trouble as both he & Daniel Bryan's replacement (to be announced late tomorrow) will take part in what is now a 5 Man Sudden Death MWF TV TItle Match including the champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury, the former champ "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards as well as a man that could win a title anywhere in the world "Hurricane" John Walters.  This, this is going to be one hell of a professional wrestling match.  It is going to be very interesting to see how Bryan's replacement plays a roll in this. . .

Look for many more auction items to go up on the site.  A fan mentioned getting some TNA photos in the mix.  So we said "why not?"

* * *

AUGUST 28TH - three weeks to go until our 9th anniversary weekend, excitement is building by the day despite a tough day for the wrestling world yesterday.  We may "test the waters" so to speak with larger 12x18 posters of superstars and events of the past for fans to get autographed at the BBBB September 18th.  If the samples we ordered are of the same high quality as our 8x10 photos, we will offer a limited supply for pre-sale ONLY.  Much like the regular photos, the goal isn't to leave Memorial Hall with leftovers we purchased and have to hold onto - we want to sell you a tremendous collectable.  It is advised for advanced ticket holders to send in their requests for any photos they may want to purchase to make sure they're not sold out come the night of the event, as some styles will be very limited.  If these come out the way we're hoping, they'll look great hung at MWF headquarters.

What a weekend it's going to be - if you haven't purchased your VIP Packages yet, what are you waiting for??  The launch of our television commercials led to the most online traffic we've had for a Friday in quite sometime.

AUGUST 27TH  #2 - All of the excitement and wonder in the air right now in the Millennium Wrestling Federation was deflated today.  As everyone knows, Doink the Clown Matt Borne returns to the MWF at the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 18th;  this morning, we learned from Paul Bearer that his father "Tough" Tony Borne, a legend in the Pacific Northwest, passed away at the age of 83.  In a recent MWF e-newsletter, we listed Luna Vachon's PO Box address and encouraged fans to try to give her a helping hand as her home had burned down, causing her to lose everything.  En route to work, my cell phone went wild again with texts that she had passed away today as well.  Any time anyone in the brotherhood passes away it's tough - doesn't matter what the age or what the cause.  Two in the same day.  On June 27th, we had our Matt Borne Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping where he shared many stories about his father.  At our September 18th event, we were planning on running an auction of an autographed SOUL SURVIVOR VI poster to raise money to help Luna rebuild her home (see the pre-recorded video update this Sunday). . .

This continued plethora of deaths really hits you hard.  I vividly remember my first interaction with Luna in the locker room at the old Boston Garden in November 1994 when I was a sophomore in high school. . .out of respect, I won't go there but it's an amusing story.  Last time I saw her was at the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion last April, where she was presented with one of the CAC's awards, and was extremely gracious and humble.  Hopefully we can edit it off of MWF TV and post it on YouTube for fans to enjoy over the weekend.  We had spoken of having her be a part of a roundtable WrestleMania IX (where she debuted)  shoot DVD like our WrestleMania I release last year.  She had a great run from 1993-2000, working in WWF, WCW, ECW and made Sable/Rena Mero-Lesnar into one of the biggest if not the biggest female draws in the history of the business,  but once that run ends, like many, what do you do??  I believe she had been working as a tow truck operator and WWE had helped put her through rehab programs twice.  In the middle of several days of insanity in Las Vegas with the Iron Sheik and "Superstar" Billy Graham, I remember all of the Vachons sitting together at the banquet thinking how nice that was compared to who I was dining with. . .a real shame. . .

WWE has done a lot of great work and perhaps saved lives with it's Wellness Program and offer to send any talent ever under contract through drug/alcohol rehab, but I personally believe that since they are the worldwide leader of this genre, more should and needs to be done.  I am one of the few die hard Red Sox fans to knock the them for their "Red Sox Nation" BS since they sell a large percentage of tickets to scalpers prior to putting them on-sale to fans, but WWE should follow in their lead and create a "WWE Foundation" like the Sox have.  Imagine how much money could have been raised for Luna if the story of the house burning down and PO Box were listed on WWE.com or mentioned on their TV shows.  No one knows the official cause of death at this point, but let's think "worst case scenario" and say it was an overdose or a suicide.  Imagine how different this possible crisis could have turned out if she received a phone call that said "we're here for you " (and there's always the possibility that she did).   Let some of the young guns earn their stripes. . .have them sit at a table for a couple of hours before a WWE live event, charge $10 per picture and donate that money to a foundation that benefits  the men and women that sacrificed their bodies, families, and, unfortunately, in some cases, lives.  It would be great PR for the company and would do a lot of good for those that deserve it.

If there is any kind of fund set up to help with Luna's funeral or life expenses, we will indeed be running some kind of auction at our September 18th event.  The MWF doesn't have the power to do what WWE can, but we can do something to show we care. . .

* * *

AUGUST 27TH - you can tell we're getting closer to the event when we're getting the autograph/photo tickets ready.  Tonight, our tv commercials debut on MyTV in some 2.5 million homes during WWE Smackdown, as well as our partnering with the NBC Universal Sports channel.  And soon after the 900th episode of Raw in Boston Monday night, Daniel Bryan will tell us who his replacement will be September 18th!

AUGUST 26TH - a big time update on the line-up page.  The latest on Daniel Bryan and Homicide's situations.  "Hurricane" John Walters in the MWF TV Title mix.  The Iron Sheik granted a managers license, but who will he lead to the ring September 18th to face "Stalker' Dylan Kage with Paul Bearer??  An explosive situation between myself and President Cena.  Tempers are heating up the closer we get to September 18th. . .

* * *

AUGUST 25TH - another long day as we get closer and closer to our anniversary weekend.  Received a large package of new WWE t-shirts that will be available September 18th, including John Cena, the Raw roster, the Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Batista, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, CM Punk and others.  Then we get info that a bunch are on back order.  Gotta love it. . .

Our weekly video update should be on-line late tonight around 11PM or so as part of the heated confrontation between myself and President Cena had to be edited out. . .some interesting news, notes and match announcements. . .

* * *

AUGUST 24TH - we continue to countdown the days to our 9th anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH.  Daniel Bryan will be in Boston in less than a week when we learn who his big time replacement will be.  To all VIP Package holders, look for a special email to be sent to you this week with further information about the event.  To speed things up upon entering the venue, we're going to have all 8x10 photos posted online by September 6th - we're asking that fans that have purchased tickets in advance send us a list of the ones they know they want to buy and have us put them in your packets so they're waiting for you at the door.  You can pay for the photos ($1 each) when you arrive.  Same thing for extra autograph tickets - if you know you want more than the one autograph of any particular star(s), let us know in advance and we can prepare the extra autograph tickets that you can pay for upon arriving in Melrose.  To avoid having so many extra photos, we're not going to print as many in the past, so quantities may be limited on some styles.  The earlier you put your request in the better, as you'll have everything you want waiting for you and don't have to worry about paying until you get to Melrose.

* * *

AUGUST 23RD - tonight's video update will likely be delayed at least by a day.  President Cena and I got into a shouting match and we both swore at each other so it will take a little bit more time to edit than expected.  Not pleased with him at all, and I can't imagine he's all that pleased with me as he heads back to Newburyport. . .one thing I will say is that "Hurricane" John Walters has been added to the "mystery" MWF TV Title Match where the champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury defends against "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards.  Cena will not say if Daniel Bryan's replacement will take his spot in this match where Bryan was originally slated. . .another match was announced which got the juices flowing. . .

Very busy night. . . .taped numerous online videos. . .produced our first commercial to air on Smackdown in 2.5 million or so homes this Friday night. . .edited two new television programs. . .conducted two telephone interviews with superstars headed in September 18th. . .did more legwork on the 8X10's that are part of the fanfest. . .heard more rumors about who the mystery replacement is as Cena has had contact with Bryan that most are unaware of. . .TNA offered several top talents to us. . .discussions have taken place with WWE officials as well. . . .a very long day, on top of the most stressful week in our nine year history. . .

The first MWF Superstar Zone program featured on a specific superstar is headed online as I type, as the August edition spotlights the MWF Heavyweight Champion "Slyck" Wagner Brown. . . .more tv updates to come on the Newsline. . . .

* * *

AUGUST 21ST - can you believe we're now just four weeks away from our 9th anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH??  So much work has been done, so much more to go. . . with still so much unknown about Daniel Bryan's replacement, there's a sense of mystery, anticipation and excitement in the air. . .

Had a chance to speak with Homicide yesterday for the first time since parting company from TNA, he's excited about returning to the MWF and taking out some "frustration" on John Layfield's Uprising.  Another tag team title belt to had to his legacy??

* * *

AUGUST 20TH - we pause to remember the late Skandar Akbar as well as "Nightmare" Ted Allen, someone I don't ever recall seeing but have read about over the years. . .

Homicide is no longer part of TNA but will be part of the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH as advertised Saturday, September 18th - no need to worry on this one.  The president has called for a big time meeting this Sunday night and I expect it to be an informative night, to say the least. . .

Heard that Daniel Bryan's announcement/replacement is going to be a blockbuster if the "rumor" is true. . .the word going around is that the airline ticket has already been purchased. . . one of my tasks is to usually make sure all the airline arrivals are as close to possible to coordinate the pick-ups (this isn't WWE or TNA where they have to rent their own cars). . .interesting. . .

After a long week, I look forward to "only" having to work a half day either before or after enjoying the Arrigo BBQ in Berwick, ME.  I'm told the locals are expecting in excess of 35,000 people with some big name musical talent on hand to kick off the festivities. . . .

* * *

AUGUST 18TH - did you hear that Daniel Bryan returned to WWE??  In all seriousness, this has thrown a monkey wrench in President Cena's plans for the MWF TV Title Match.  Will Brian Fury defend the title against former champion "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards in a singles match??  Will Daniel Bryan's replacement be part of the match??  I'm looking forward to finding out who the replacement will be when Bryan hits Boston August 30th, as I'm sure both Fury and Edwards are. . .

Had a chance to interact (I don't know if "speak" is the right term) with the wild Boogeyman while all this was going on. . .he's looking forward to competing for the MWF Heavyweight Championship against "Slyck" Wagner Brown at the BBBB on September 18th, then his first ever no-holds-barred Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping on Sunday, September 19th. . . .it's going to be quite a weekend. . .if you haven't ordered your tickets yet, what are you waiting for??  Once our area advertising spree begins, tickets are REALLY going to start to fly, similar to SOUL SURVIVOR VI. . .we want our long time, loyal fans to have first crack at them, but we need to pay the bills either way. . .

Also, expect a slew of new WWE merchandise on-sale at the big event to go along with autographed bottles of Jim Ross' world famous BBQ sauce.  A wide variety of new shirts of WWE's biggest superstars will be available at prices that blow away what they charge at live events and on their web-site. . .

* * *

AUGUST 16TH - Had a long BLOG written as there's a lot of news to cover, but nothing can top Daniel Bryan returning to WWE at SummerSlam tonight, teaming with the Raw superstars against Nexus. . .

The big question some are asking is "what does that mean for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH?"  We expect him to be part of the event, as he was paid a deposit to secure the date back on June 20th.  He has been promoting the appearance on the front page of his web-site ever since.

Even though his appearance tonight was a surprise, we have not heard anything from Bryan or WWE stating he will not be allowed to compete at our event and that he will fulfill his end of the agreement as we have ours.

* * *

AUGUST 14TH - enjoying SummerSlam 2006 from Boston on WWE 24/7 as I type away, could write a column on this one alone (and likely will). . . . .looking at the calendar, is it possible we're only FIVE weeks away from the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 18th at Memorial Hall?!?  More big matches are going to be announced late tonight on the "Bash Line-Up" page.  I like the slow reveal of the superstars, then the line-up.  Some do, some don't.  I compare it to Christmas - sometimes kids have ten presents waiting under the tree, wake up Christmas morning and tear through them in minutes.  When I was fortunate enough to have the little Mirade's in my life (thanks Liberty Mutual and Dylan Kage), the five year old inside of me turned it into an all day event.  Everything event related should be announced by Labor Day weekend.  It will almost feel like a rush job for ROAD TO THE GOLD and SOUL SURVIVOR VII as there isn't a heck of a lot of time in between those big events (plus two TV tapings in November!).  A great amount of preparation is going on for all of these events while it seems like (feels like) we're going 24/7 for the BBBB. . .

It seems like the perfect day to be outside for the Cena's fundraiser for a great cause today, I hope it is a great success for them and hope we were able to help them spread the word.  President Cena and I fight like cats and dogs sometimes, but I think wanting to give back and help those that need a helping hand is one thing we both have in common.  We've officially announced our involvement with the 30th annual Melrose Victorian Fair, Sunday, September 12th on Main St. in Melrose, MA, between MWF Studios & Memorial Hall itself.  We'll have a booth promoting the BBBB, having a FREE raffle for an autographed Rey Mysterio WWE photo, JR's autographed BBQ sauce will be on-sale, free autographs from "Candyman" Jerry Seavey & Commissioner Von Johnson and more.  It should be a fun afternoon, so come on by, get some autographs, get a free raffle ticket, some autographed sauce and talk wrestling.

* * *

AUGUST 13TH - we pause to remember Lance Cade, who passed away today at 29 years of age.  It really makes you think when someone in the same profession that's the same age as you passes on.  News like this is the worst. . . .

* * *

AUGUST 9TH – Sunday, Sunday, we promised some big announcements and boy did we deliver!  The MWF Tag Team Titles are on the line in what may be the most anticipated tag team match in MWF history as JBL’s Uprising (ex-WWE superstar Antonio Thomas & J-Busta) defend the gold they won at SOUL SURVIVOR VI against what’s being called “Team TNA” of “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal and Homicide.  While Lethal and ‘Cide have never teamed together in TNA that I can recall, both have revenge in mind against JBL’s cocky crew September 18th.  This could be a short reign for the champs. . .

On paper, what could be the biggest match in MWF history, President Cena has signed ROH World Television Champion “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards to face the man he “claims” he has no issues with whatsoever, the man that almost crippled his son on WWE Raw, NXT standout Daniel Bryan, known the world over as “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson.  Two of the finest athletes in professional wrestling going at it one-on-one.  You want to talk about an anniversary extravaganza, this match is worth the prices of admission alone.  You through in the fanfest, the raffles, the auctions, can this event get any better and give you any more value for your wrestling dollar??  But. . . . .Cena seemed to hint that he has more up his sleeve for this match. . . .what will we learn SummerSlam Sunday??

As the co-founder of the Millennium Wrestling Federation, I have issued a challenge to “Stalker” Dylan Kage and the tub of lard he calls a manager Paul Bearer September 18th.  The man set up an incident that almost killed myself, The Iron Sheik and Commissioner Von Johnson five years ago.  He terrorized wrestlers and staff members alike before he revealed himself at SOUL SURVIVOR V.  It’s been over a year, and no one has beheaded the scumbag.  I’m not a professional wrestler, but this man took my physical well being. . .he’s attacked me in public, he’s invaded my home, he’s made despicable comments about my family.  I don’t understand why certain members of the MWF haven’t gone after him full force, but I want him. . .bad. . .and if Cena has any integrity, he’ll make it happen. . . .when he had issues with J-Busta, he made it happen. . . I want and expect the same done for me. . .

* * *

AUGUST 5TH - hard to believe that IRON SHEIK APPRECIATION NIGHT was five years ago tonight and almost led to the death of myself, the Sheik and Dr. Von Johnson when a worthless drunk driver almost killed us going near 100MPH.  I posted a rather personal column earlier that will certainly make you think about drinking/speeding & driving.  It was a life changing night, and not in a good way, to say the least. . .

Anyway, back to the business at hand. . .with so much going on behind the scenes I haven’t had a chance to update this bad boy in a few days now, my apologizes.  BELIEVE ME, excitement is in the air.  The biggest news of all is that at least two big matches are going to be announced this coming Sunday, August 8th , and it’s only going to get hotter from there this August. . . . . . .we were thrilled with Jim Ross’ comments about our 9 th anniversary event and are excited about having a working relationship with JR and his quality products in the present and in the future.  It’s the summer, it’s grilling season, check out JR’s official web-site for some great deals on a variety of edible products at a great price.  I don’t know how many fans would want to open such a rare autographed collectible to use on burgers, chicken, etc. hot off the grill.  JR prides himself and his business on quality service, you’ll be very happy with what you get. . . . . .tons of new videos online as President Cena and I preview the autographed John Cena WrestleMania plaque with a piece of the ring attached to it (the exact plaque - #65 of 500 – that will be raffled off 9/18) along with a sneak peak at the WWE auctions.  I love the added video content. . . . .we’re working on a special photo opportunity with the Boogeyman on September 19th for his Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping that die hard fans will enjoy. . . .  hope to update my column tonight or tomorrow, a lot of non BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH news to talk about. . .

* * *

AUGUST 2ND - one of the longest nights I can recall at MWF Studios.  The big news is the president's announcement that fans will be able to pick up autographed bottles of Jim Ross' BBQ sauce, opening another door for the promotion.  JR is a quality, stand up guy and probably the greatest announcer in the history of professional wrestling.  There's been a mutual interest in him appearing at live MWF events, which would be tremendous for our athletes as JR's roll with WWE is in talent development and looking for fresh bodies to bring to the company.  Interesting to see what comes next.  Both the August MWF ULTRA and MWF Xtra:  The John Cena Sr. Show television programs are on-line for your viewing pleasure.  A new BBBB video preview is online.  We taped a ton of videos headed to the site, and after seeing some of the contracts awaiting signatures for the big event September 18th, you better get your tickets quick!!

* * *

AUGUST 1ST -will tonight be a sleepless night for many of the superstars of the Millennium Wrestling Federation??  President Cena has promised a series of blockbuster announcements leading to the BBBB September 18th in Melrose, MA.  VIP Packages continue to move - General Admission tickets go on-sale in two weeks, but if you want the most bang for your pro wrestling buck, get one of the VIP ticket packages!  Front row tickets are a regular sell-out for us - for $60, you sit a few feet from the action, get hundreds of dollars worth of autographs and posed photos if purchased separately, a free event poster, a free John Cena autographed WrestleMania plaque raffle ticket, a free DVD, should I continue??  To me, the VIP Packages Mr. Cena has put together are amongst the best values in wrestling. . .

* * *

JULY 31ST - good to hear that JBL's cancer scare was just that - a scare.  The leader of The Uprising received a clear bill of health, which is great news.  Look for the August editions of both MWF ULTRA and MWF Xtra:  The John Cena Sr. Show (with his new million dollar opening) as soon as this Sunday.  I'm expecting a lot of news to come out of what should be a very big night to kick off August.  Can you believe we're just SEVEN weeks away from our anniversary weekend??  Also, another announcement we're 99.9% close to making will likely come Monday or Tuesday. . .

* * *

JULY 30TH - busy day on the BBBB front leading to an even busier weekend.  Sorry to hear the legendary that Bobby "The Brain" Heenan injured himself down in Florida.  At one point this year, we had an agreement for Bobby to return to the Millennium Wrestling Federation before some of his other health issues forced him to cancel before we ever made the announcement.  More plane tickets purchased.  Ideas thrown around for our final promotional effort the weekend before the event.  It's going to be an interesting Sunday as our esteemed president begins to tip his hand. . .

* * *

JULY 29TH - Big news, breaking news, great news - the first MWF Television Champion in company history, now a standout with NOAH in Japan and current Ring of Honor TV Champion "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards is returning at BBBB September 18th, competing in-ring as well as taking part in the fanfest.  Big time addition to a big time event. . .how many times can we throw "big" in there??  Edwards met with President Cena today - is he the hired gun to take out Bryan Danielson September 18th??  Would be a match worth the price of admission alone, to say the least!  Another very interesting announcement is forthcoming over the next few days, if not sooner. . .

* * *

JULY 28TH - have added a few of many beautiful, high quality 8x10 photos that will be available as part of the superstar meet & greet at the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 18th.  Look for many more to come in the near future and the opportunity for fans that purchase tickets in advance to reserve photos in advance in as well and pay for them at the door..  Also added a new auction item - two for the price of one - autographed WWE promo photos of current co-Women's Champion Michelle McCool & Lauren Jones.  Starting at just $5 for both, how can you go wrong??

* * *

JULY 25TH - In the midst of trying to put together another interesting business deal for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 18th and beyond.  Cool and different from the norm.  Spent awhile thinking of a "hint" that wouldn't give who/what it is away but my creative hat must have fallen off my head for the weekend.  Look for an announcement on something I think is certain to happen later in the week. . .

* * *

JULY 24TH - If you think the Cena WrestleMania plaque is a cool raffle item, wait until you see the "main event" items lined up for ROAD TO THE GOLD and SOUL SURVIVOR VII, our next two major events.  I had a chance to see the one that will be raffled off at RTTG and it really is an amazing collectible. . .but more news on that to come AFTER we celebrate our 9th anniversary!  It's always been important to us to give our fans an experience that goes beyond "going to a wrestling show" and these raffles, auctions, etc. are the icing to a cake that looks delicious for our anniversary weekend September 18th & 19th.

* * *

JULY 23RD - Nice to see that Consequences Creed was signed to a WWE developmental contract - a solid athlete that was slated to make his MWF debut at BBBB at one point.  I believe that opened the door for the return of Paul Bearer, who is not the athlete Mr. Creed is but a superstar nonetheless who I'm sure would have enjoyed flying in from Atlanta with the Sheik.  The Front Row VIP packages continue to move, with all the extras we're adding to the event for you to win, you're not gonna wanna miss a single minute of it!

* * *

JULY 22ND - Another "perk" for being a VIP and getting your tickets early - to avoid the massive line we had at SOUL SURVIVOR VI in April for the autograph/photo session, we're going to number the bracelets/tickets.  We'll call up front row VIP's first, then floor seated VIP's, then general admission folks.  While the meet & greet takes place, we'll be holding the individual item auctions, free giveaways and other stuff.  The VIP Front Row packages that come with the free bonus event poster and free John Cena WrestleMania XXVI autographed plaque raffle ticket are moving and - barring an act of the heavens above - will sell out early at this rate.  Also, look for continued items to go up on the BBBB auctions page.  An autographed Matt Hardy WWE promo photo was the first to be posted - what/who will be next??

* * *

JULY 21ST - let's hit the pause button on the BBBB weekend news for a day.   President Cena has asked that we post complete information about the John Cena Car Show / Autograph Session Fundraiser Saturday, August 14th in West Newbury, MA, which will be raising funds for the Lt. Kenny Fowler Foundation, who was a volunteer firefighter that passed away at the age of 34 from a a massive heart attack.  The Millennium Wrestling Federation is not promoting this event, yet helping the Cena family spread the word about this tremendous fundraiser to help the family of a fallen police officer.  John Cena autograph tickets are only $15 - a bargain by any stretch of the means - and will be extremely limited.  Visit the event page for complete information.  John Cena Sr. will be posting a video about this fundraiser shortly...

* * *

JULY 20TH - we've opened up the new auction section for the MWF BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH is on-line.  During the meet & greet, fans will have a chance to bid on great autographed WWE items starting at just $5 each, and there will even be some packages available.  Look for a special BBBB navigation bar shortly on the event page for tickets, superstars, BLOG, event info, auctions, fanfest photos that will be available, etc.  We want to make this not only our most exciting, thrilling in-ring event to date, but also our most fun and interactive for the fans, meeting the superstars, winning cool prizes, etc.

* * *

JULY 19TH - spoke to a longtime MWF favorite today that wants to come back for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH now just under two months away!  Look for exciting news to come on this one.  It was a long night that didn't end until close to 5:30AM with the sun rising.  We're going to attempt to slowly but surely start to post some of the great items we're going to auction off at the big event - we've been debating either doing it in between matches or during the meet and greet.  I believe the items will start at only $5 each, which is a steal when you see what we've got!

* * *

JULY 18TH - so what do you think of the John Cena autographed WrestleMania plaque that's going to be raffled off at the BBBB??  Another "surprise" we want fans to look forward to.  Remember, if you get a VIP Front Row Package, you get one FREE Cena raffle ticket.  They'll be on-sale to all fans that night for $5 each or 3 for $10.  I've seen it in person but was too big to sneak in my work bag.  In all seriousness, if you collect wrestling merchandise, will be a piece you'll value.  In the coming weeks and months we're going to start posting the items we're going to auction off in between matches including some really cool WWE promo photos.  As a side note, big time happy birthday to one half of my tag team champions of the world - I wish I'd be there for it. . .

* * *

JULY 17TH - now that VIP ticket packages are on-sale for the MWF BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH event & fanfest Saturday, September 18th in Melrose, excitement is really building.  This is an event that fans want to be a part of and we expect the Front Row packages to go quickly as they've sold out at our larger events for the past few years now.  We're looking to add a row if need be the way the event is structured.  We want to give every fan the best, most enjoyable opportunity possible.  Don't delay - you know you want to be there!

* * *

JULY 16TH - ready, set, go - VIP Ticket Packages are now on-sale for the MWF BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH event & fanfest Saturday, September 18th in Melrose.

* * *

JULY 14TH - the countdown is on for VIP Ticket Packages going on-sale for the MWF  BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH event & fanfest Saturday, September 18th in Melrose.  An eventful day behind the scenes today as we're going to be doing promotional work with the NBC Universal Sports channel for this event and to increase brand awareness.  On top of that, we have a blow-away featured WWE raffle item at the big event, and came up with a fun idea to do small auctions for WWE authentic autographs in between matches.  We're going to have a ton of free giveaways during the meet & greet as well.  So much time & preparation has gone into this one that it's almost ridiculous.

* * *

JULY 12TH - another long, challenging night at MWF Studios with President Cena and other officials, working hard to "perfect" this event and meet & greet for the fans.  I am remiss in not mentioning the return of the evil Paul Bearer and his scumbag "Stalker" Dylan Kage to the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 18th.  These two losers should be banned from Melrose from what they've plotted and supposedly executed.  I hate - hate - Dylan Kage with a passion, but did President Cena's "brilliant" idea to allow Kage's little videos to air on MWF TV and online come back to bite him in the rear??  Last night, we saw the latest from Dylan, threatening to take out the entire Fabulous Women of Wrestling division.  With one of the greatest managers in the history of professional guiding him, God only knows what these two are up to as we celebrate our 9th anniversary.

* * *

JULY 11TH - MWF officials are very happy with the reaction from our "Superfans" who were given the opportunity BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH event & fanfest tickets before the event page opens to all fans Thursday.  September 18th really is going to be a "fight night" in Melrose.  Plenty of more surprises to come, and outside of the championship main event, we don't even know the line-up yet!  I've seen some of the tremendous, high quality photos that are going to be available for the autograph session, true collectable's.  There are many events I look forward to because at the end of the weekend I know there will be a day (or with Cena Sr., a few hours) of rest. . .this one I'm looking forward to because it's shaping up to be our biggest event in nine years.  When you look back at our history, that's pretty cool.  As far as "fanfests" go, I look around the prices of some of them - $150 to $200, sometimes not even including pictures with the talent, and to give credit where credit is do, I think President Cena really does a great job in pricing the VIP Packages where the fans get to meet a wide variety of superstars, get excellent in-ring action at a very fair price (VIP Packages for this one start at just $55 and include a ton of extras).  Perfect?  Nope.  But I think even on our worst night, we've created some lifelong memories for fans, and we strive to improve each and every event.  If you've never been to an MWF event live, this is the one that's going to get you hooked!

* * *

JULY 7TH - it was a beautiful 430 degree day here in the Boston area, but the big announcements keep on coming.  Our good friend and world class athlete TNA superstar "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal returns at the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 18th in Melrose, MA to help celebrate our 9th anniversary.  Tickets to The Boogeyman Studio Shoot Interview DVD Taping / meet & greet on Sunday, September 19th are on-sale as we speak.  President Cena has put together a tremendous WWE raffle item that's so cool I tried to fit it in my bag and sneak it out of MWF Studios (Superfans get the inside scoop and a photo of it when tickets go on-sale to them later this week).  Discussions about direction towards SOUL SURVIVOR VII are already underway.  Busy day to say the least. . .and more announcements are still to come!

* * *

JULY 5TH - how do you have an MWF birthday bash without WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik??  The answer - you can't!  After retiring in April from the squared circle, the Sheik was viciously attacked by "Stalker" Dylan Kage and Paul Bearer the following night.  Sheiky Baby will never be wrestling again, but he's returning September 18th and is an angry man.  This should be a good one. . .also, be on the look out for yet another announcement tomorrow!  This one keeps getting bigger and better!  Explosive live action and an interactive meet & greet/autograph & photo session you'll never forget!  Lots of surprises still to come for our great fans as we get ready to party and celebrate nine years of the Millennium Wrestling Federation.

* * *

JULY 4TH - Happy Birthday America, it's the 4th of July!  Famous words uttered by the Jackal on Wrestling Insiders on this date in 1993.  The BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH BLOG is open for business, so cool down after a BBQ out in the sweltering Boston heat and get the latest MWF news and notes.  I've been working on this BLOG for a few weeks now as we get ready to launch ticket sales and announce talent, and boy, when this page started up on Memorial Day, little did we know that the hottest rookie on WWE NXT that was feuding with The Miz and Michael Cole would wind up invading Raw June 7th, choking out the ring announcer, trying to cripple President Cena's son and put him out on a stretcher, then getting fired and becoming the most talked about name in the sport, all leading to negotiations with President Cena and agreeing to appear at this event.  The BOSTONWRESTLING.COM supersite has been on fire and is going to continue to heat up with more superstar announcements and matches in the coming weeks and months as all roads lead to Melrose September 18th and 19th!

* * *

JULY 2ND - in an announcement that's no laughing matter, the original, evil WWE Doink The Clown Matt Borne is returning September 18th.  I don't think anyone can expect what's coming next from an the individual that claims to be "Reborne Again" as you'll see on MWF TV in the coming weeks and months.  A dangerous veteran that's already caused a lot of mayhem. . .this one should be interesting as the roster to this all-star anniversary event gets bigger and better!

* * *

JUNE 30TH - how could the month of June end without another big announcement??  How about the return of TNA superstar, multi time tag team champion Homicide!  This is one bad, tough man returning to the MWF looking for revenge against JBL's Uprising after the way the humiliated him after crushing ex-Uprising member Luke Robinson.  "Slyck" Wagner Brown gave him little baby slaps across the face as four men held Homicide down, which was like trying to control a pit bull.  With Brown already signed to face Boogeyman, the question is who is Homicide targeting??  Or better yet, who isn't he targeting??

* * *

JUNE 27TH - were you with us Saturday at NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS in Everett, MA??  If not, you missed a kick ass event from bell to bell with two major announcements.  Competing in the main event at the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH on Saturday, September 18th and taking part in his first ever Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping on Sunday, September 19th is the one and only Boogeyman!  Boogey made his MWF debut at SOUL SURVIVOR VI this past April and has a past with John Bradshaw Layfield.  With that said, President Cena moved him up the food chain to earn a championship match against "Slyck" Wagner Brown in would could be the champs biggest challenge to date.  This is going to be an anniversary weekend you'll NEVER forget!  Look for ticket information coming soon for both events.

* * *
\\

JUNE 20TH - never expected to announce that NXT Season 1 standout Daniel Bryan / "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, one of the finest professional wrestlers on the planet, will be competing at the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH on September 18th.  President Cena always goes above and beyond for the fans, but, to sign the man who tried to cripple his son on Monday Night Raw June 7th when NXT destroyed the former world champion??  There could be more than meets the eye on this one.  No one - as in no one - woke up June 20th expecting that he'd be part of the event or we'd be making any kind of announcement, let alone one of this magnitude.

JUNE 3RD - we're going to be mixing things up a bit for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH wrestling event on September 18th.  We're going with an early 4PM start time for the live wrestling, followed by a post event meet & greet and autograph / photo fanfest.  With the large amount of great MWF Superfans that show up so early in the afternoon, it tells us that having a 4PM belltime is worth a try and might bring out more young fans.  Also, there's another area event going on the same night for the troops a local military base.  How do you make life difficult for athletes that want to do an event for our troops as well as our event??  So it will be a little different compared to what we usually do.  Should be interesting. . . .

MAY 31ST - the official BLOG for the Millennium Wrestling Federation's BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Weekend is underway just about a month before it's launched to the public.  Saturday night, September 18th, be prepared for a extraordinary live event & fanfest with the superstars and legends of yesterday, today and tomorrow at the historic Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA.  The following day, Sunday, September 19th, we'll be conducting the first Studio Shoot Interview EVER with the one and only Boogeyman of WWE fame (Marty Wright).  Unlike many stars that have done several shoots, this is Boogey's first.  It took a little bit of work to put it together, but I'm really, really excited about this one as it's never been done before with such a unique, dark character.  It should be one to look for this holiday season (a little early, aren't we?).  The line-up for our NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS event and Matt Borne Shoot taping is starting to shape up, but we're putting ions worth of effort into our 9th anniversary weekend in September that you're not going to want to miss!  Superfans will receive special links to these events to be able to purchase tickets before they go on-sale to all fans on Monday, July 5th.  A lot of superstars will be coming in for this one, including the in-ring return of The Boogeyman!  Stay tuned for more behind the scenes news & notes about this great weekend of professional wrestling!
