MARCH 26TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
The "take it home" edition. . .the event is now history, maybe the BLOG as a history lesson going back to last September as ol' Mirade didn't take a single day off, even going through six back procedures, spending most of my Thanksgiving and Christmas working away (remember the big Christmas Day announcements we had??). . .so much goes on in your life while preparing for this, especially if you're focused on doing a good job.  I believe as a team we did that, as we had the biggest night in Millennium Wrestling Federation history.  Since my last BLOG. . . .

Breaking our all time pre-order record was a really cool feeling and I can't think of an event where we earned it more. . .hope you agreed. . .

The week leading up to SS8 was an interesting one indeed. . . .enjoyed the thirty minute interview we had with John Layfield about his Beyond Rugby Bermuda foundation where he's doing some tremendous work in his new found home. . .happy to have raised over $350 for his efforts on an island I'd love to be visiting for a few days right about now. . .

I thought the SS8 Countdown shows we had were really good and made the event seem even more special. . .John Cena Sleazena had a "unique" look at the event. . .Ox Baker could be 180 and still cut one of the best promos in the business. . . and I enjoyed a trip to one of my favorite places, Times Square in New York City, for my insider look. . .remembered the "good old days" of late 90's / early 2000's when I was in NY every month or two for MSG events and the WWF NY restaurant which had some pretty good food. . .

"The Inside Job". . .a lot can still be said about this, but when I got the call from MWF Studios last Wednesday, I couldn't believe my eyes watching a tape of John Cena Sr. (who denies it's him - PLEASE) talking to "Brad" (the missing Commissioner Dr.  Brad Von Johnson??) about "destroying it" (the dark secrets of Franklin D. Churchill in journals he told Ox Baker he had prior to his passing away??).  I didn't care, I put it on YouTube after I've been humiliated so many times with Cena giving Dylan Kage a free pass over the years to put up anything he wanted. . . I did not ask for but demanded a meeting of the MWF Board of Directors. . .being the co-founder of this great organization and still owning a small percentage of it now after the hurricane that is Linda Mirade, I have that right. . .

On Thursday, while in the middle of trying to get the final details of the event ready (and boy, are there final details to get ready), myself and Cena met with the BOD. . . meeting did not go well with us together, as I laid the law down "loudly". . . .then Cena started whining like a female dog about it being a "hostile work environment" for himself and Kage. . .here's a note pal, it's PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. . . it's always going to be a hostile work environment unless you're living in candyland. . .I know the candy unfortunately exists in some parts of New England and beyond, but not the Millennium Wrestling Federation. . .BOD decided it was best to meet with us individually. . . .it was like we were two kids in high school that got in a fight and were meeting with the principal separately. . . .I said my piece and waited in another part of the building. . . .he spoke. . . he shocked everyone by asking that Kage be removed from the event because he was worried that the MWF Southern Champion could be seriously injured if he were to attend (Fit Finlay-itis??).  In the official notice from the MWF BOD, Cena said he "volunteered" to be there despite it being such a hostile place.  Geez, Johnny, you've only been booked on the event since September, you're all heart.  That left Fit Finlay in limbo. . .we certainly weren't going to remove him from the event, so the decision was made to make the MWF Heavyweight Championship triple threat even bigger by adding Finlay into it. . . would have loved the chance to have made a video to break that match down piece by piece, but there was honestly no time left. . .

A "behind the scenes" story. . . while everything was going on the past couple of weeks, had a nightmare of a situation with my good, longtime friend Al Snow.  TNA had given Al a big promotion realizing what he brings to the sport and how he can help the athletes. . .honestly, I don't know how anyone couldn't. . . he's a hilarious human being, but when he's serious, he knows his wrestling and he knows it good. . . without getting too much into another company's business, there were issues with their non-televised events, agents for them, long meetings in Orlando, it would take a half hour to explain, but the bottom line was without a TON of hard work on Al's end, we didn't officially, officially "officially" know until Wednesday morning the 21st he was coming in. . .the end result:  a $965 plane ticket. . .for a company of our size, a difficult pill to swallow, but we absolutely had to have Al there for you. . . last September when he was supposed to be with us for our anniversary event, he had to cancel after losing track of a fundraiser of a different kind, and he was man enough to come on MWF TV and explain the situation to the fans.  Any time a featured superstars cancels, no shows, etc., the company looks like the bad guy even if they did everything in an honest, sincere fashion, as we have every time it's happened to us.  Make no mistake about it, we've been stabbed in the back ("we" including the fans who just want to enjoy wrestling) many times by lowlife scum that don't care about you, only the easiest way to make a dollar.  Al is not one of those people.  Beyond having a similar sense of humor, he's a first class human being and the MWF has always benefited from his being a part of what we do and hopefully will for a long, long time. . . .but karma came back to bite him when he wanted an Ox Baker t-shirt. . .

The day before the event, the work, the stress, it just wouldn't end.  People don't understand what "please don't text or call me" for some reason. . .anything that makes a noise when it goes off is a huge distraction. . .even multiple emails with people asking the same thing is a pain in the a$$. . .I would have loved to have turn the phone off, but I don't know if something urgent is going on. . . need an alternative plan the week leading up to the next event . . . I used to carry two cell phones in the good ol' days of having Linda Mirade and the kids in my life on a daily basis but that ship has unfortunately set sail. . .

From the fan and wrestler point of view, you could feel a level of excitement all week long. . . that's a great pick me up when you're mentally beaten down and just want to rest. . . in the king of sports, there are no days off, there is no rest. . . anyone that doesn't have that mentality needs to start thinking that way if they want to reach the national spotlight. . . .

And the day of the event itself. . . think I got a little over three hours sleep. . .energy drink fever baby. . .was picked up around 9:30AM for what would turn into a 17+ hour adventure. . .tried to keep tabs on all of the talent flying in from all over the country and Tweet a little bit. . . had to make a quick stop at our hotel to make another change. . . once we got to the venue, it was set-up time. . .our ring crew was already at it, and the best crew of event staff I could ask for were already busy. . . signage, merchandise, raffles, auctions, video production, music, tickets, so much, so little time. . . .

Our afternoon event FULL THROTTLE will go down as a special one for us. . .I'm proud of every athlete that chose to give of themselves and compete on event for a wide variety of charity organizations.  Those that didn't. . . .I don't get it. . .when they first broke into the sport, they likely would have killed to be on an event like that. . .I don't gel with today's mentality (at all). . .if there are real life circumstances, there are real life circumstances. . . but if it was just "I have to wrestle twice??" they should take a long look in the mirror and think about priorities in the business and in wrestling. . . taking a couple of hours on a Saturday to give back isn't asking a lot. . . as much as I absolutely detest John Cena Sleazena, I can say I respect the man for what he did with the kids Saturday. . .

SOUL SURVIVOR VIII itself, what an event. . . .seven action packed matches. . . .actually got to see the Jay Freddie -vs- Sonny Yee 2000 opening match which set the pace for the night, great action from both guys you could tell wanted it bad. . .Frankie Arion debuted in the "In It To Win It" Gauntlet challenge and really opened some eyes - that's the type of athlete we want in the MWF.  I was blown away by Todd Hanson, nowhere near ready to be in a wrestling ring, being the last man in the match in street clothes, surprising Frankie after he thought he won it, and hit him with the Hanson kick, declaring war on "Stalker" Dylan Kage's Southern Championship. . .was told that the Al Snow -vs- DJ Dubay match got a great reaction and kids of all ages had more fun with the tag team title match than poor Beau Douglas did as he tasted defeat again as Paul Bearer's Trifecta of Terror retained the title. . . after the match, Bushwhacker Luke turned the MWF ring into his own party, having Ox Baker, Quincy, Reno Chastaine and several kids from the crowd getting into the ring and "hongey". . .I was near the monitor backstage and have to say I got a good laugh out of that one. . .

During intermission, we were able to raise more money for charities and some lucky fans won some really great stuff.  I was shocked that the auction for the WWE Extreme Rules PPV chair went for $300 for JBL's cause. . . the kid that won the Undertaker autographed plaque looked like he was going to pass out. . . that stuff is a lot of fun for us to do while seeing wrestling do some good for the world at the same time.  I have to "shoot" and say I thought the fans that were chanting "we want wrestling" while trying to raise money for dying children at Make-A-Wish amongst others was beyond disrespectful.  If you don't want to bid or make a donation, that's your right.  Be thankful that you don't have kids or family members in need of help from a charity like that, hmmm??  Some of the Einstein's chanting that apparently didn't realize we had fans in attendance from MAW, Special Olympics, Big Brothers, etc., which made them sound like bigger idiots.  Happy to say we came up with a new system for auctions and raffles going forward, but come on man, go for a walk, get a slice of pizza, whatever. . .think about how those people may have felt listening to that trash. . .

Back to the action, was told the MWF TV Title match between "Straight Edge" Brian Fury and Carlito may have stole the show. . .looking forward to seeing that one. . .Fury's amongst the elite in the northeast and his title run proves it, but had to come up with a "unique" way to put away the veteran Carlito.  Funny to use the term "veteran" with Carlito, but he grew up in a legacy wrestling family, is a multiple time WWE IC, US and Tag Team Champion, and when he's ready to go, boy, can he go, don't let short six minute WWE TV matches fool you.  "Superstar of Sin" Scott Reed came out with a win over Julian Starr. . .surprised to a point, as Starr was out for revenge after Reed bolted on him during a recent tag team match, but, Reed has been focused of late, as his strange video from Madison Square Garden proved, and we didn't hear much of anything from Julian.  I got a chance to see the main event last night at the studio, and it was one intense war with Low Ki proving he has the heart and skills of a champion by surviving his battle with Finlay, Slyck and Ciampa.  This bad boy gets edited together Thursday and I can't wait. . .

Did I forget anything??  Indeed.  Cena Sleazena.  The first time he came out, I think he finally realized he was his own biggest fans, as MWF event staff and fans went wild with signs, screaming "INSIDE JOB" at him over and over and over again.  He didn't know what to do, so he simply left.  I knew something had to be up, as MWF Chairman Neil Manolian made a rare live event appearance, the voice of the MWF The Jackal was back as he's this/close to returning to the booth after his throat was crushed by "the stalker."  Soon after Cena hit the ring, he was joined by another one I detest, that being Paul Bearer.  Bearer came fully loaded, firing away on Cena, letting him know that the journals everyone's been looking for have a nice home as Bearer and Kage released the tape Churchill made for his daughter a couple of years back.  In a surprise to everyone - myself included - Bearer met with the MWF BOD Friday to try to keep MWF alive under his watch with a clear outline of what he would do if given the chance.  Due to wasting a lot of money for Cena to "consult" after he quit as MWF President, the BOD felt the right thing to do was let Cena decide since it was his idea to move the company to North Carolina next week.  Bearer had an executive order in hand and basically told Cena to sign it to keep MWF North alive, or. . . what he said to Cena off mic, no one knows.  Cena signed and ran out of the building like the dog he is.  And now. . .we have MWF North President Paul Bearer. . .unreal. . . see the official MWF press release elsewhere on the site. . .

Got great feedback from the venue, the Mayor, a State Senator in attendance, but most important, the fans in attendance.  Could we have used a few more bodies in Memorial Hall??  Sure, we shouldn't be happy until we have a complete sell out.  But regional wrestling is what it is right now, and Saturday, you saw it at it's best in a variety of ways and styles.  A sincere thank you to each and every fan, staff member and athlete that took part. . .

It almost felt like 2001 all over again at one point. . .two buildings away from Memorial Hall is City Hall, where Neil Manolian and I finalized paperwork on the Millennium Wrestling Federation to become a reality in January 2001.  Both Pat Doyle and The Jackal were there, two people that were huge in getting the MWF off the ground with daily conversation.  The best feeling of all though was seeing "baby Mirade" in Memorial Hall before doors opened to the fans. . .he got his Sin Cara t-shirt and a Randy Orton hat. . .he got to go backstage and see a little bit of what I do even though it was just about empty at that point. . . he got to meet Bushwhacker Luke and Brian Fury, who met his older brother for the first time when he was only four years old back in 2003. . . that will go down as my SOUL SURVIVOR memory. . . .

Look forward to bringing you the highlights and complete video as soon as the production God's allow. . . and don't worry, we're already working on SOUL SURVIVOR IX next year : )

MARCH 14TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
That last SS8 BLOG was a hell of a piece of business. . .sometimes I re-read them because I'm so worn down I don't even remember what I talked about last time. . .I'd love to see the work put into SOUL SURVIVOR turned into a documentary of some sort to give fans (and even many of the athletes) an idea of what it takes to put this one together.  Toss in the behind the scenes turmoil of the past six months, and we've exhausted just about every emotion - good and bad - to get you ready for an all day extravaganza, the best value in professional wrestling. . .to hear you cheer like animals, boo like the Red Sox just lost Game 7 of the World Series at Fenway Park, have memories of things that take place in the ring, meeting the superstars, helping a wide variety of charity groups and win some awesome, unique prizes from WWE and TNA. . .the ride isn't an easy one, but when you see our younger Superfans reactions, when you get the post-event emails, it's very gratifying.  We can't please everyone, it's impossible. . .issues pop up we have absolutely no control over despite putting in thousands of hours of work into making it happen.  But here we are, ten days away. . . all of those 5AM nights. . . six hour sessions at MWF Studios turning into eight or more multiple times a week instead of one. . . countless videos, countless interviews, countless road trips. . .inventory, merchandising, hundreds of phone calls, thousands of texts and emails. . .all of our events are interesting experiences, but this one like none other. . .maybe it's with all of the health issues I've been having, stuff with the kids, knowing that everything we've done over the past decade is being destroyed by Cena. . . .I don't know. . .

Cena Sleazena has never been a fan of my friendship with John Layfield due to his issues with The Uprising faction (i.e. not my problem).  JBL's started a foundation of his own to help at-risk youth in his new home of Bermuda and I'm going to make sure we have some kind of auction to help the cause.  When John was producing his Layfield Energy drinks before he really didn't need the cash (tough life), you have no idea what a help he was to yours truly.  In this sport, you need to remember who your friends are. . .who's been good to you. . .who didn't have a dollar store smile and handshake. . .I'd like to think I do. . .so look for something else exciting to be added to the event that YOU can win!!

I have spoken to Zema Ion and made a request from the X-Division sensation. . .wish we could see him at SS8 but, reality is what reality is. . .

It baffles my mind how some fans missed out on the VIP Package with the free WWE T-shirt offer.  I was told quite a few fans apparently didn't read the rules & regs that went along with the offer, or watch the video with yours truly in it that states it's one shirt - per person or address.  I had a little laugh at those that usually get a ha ha out of my stress related explosions when they told me they have to respond to fans telling them they can only have one shirt per order when some fans are sending in lists expecting four or five. . . "LOL". . .back to the VIP issue, I don't understand why fans have missed out on getting it at discounted prices. . . we offer it at a reduced price for one simple reason - to save you money and say "thanks."

The cut-off for all online ticketing ends Tuesday night, March 20th at 11:59PM (i.e. the end of the discounted prices).  After that, NO VIP PACKAGES WILL BE SOLD.  March 24th at Memorial Hall, SS8 tickets will be sold at regular prices.  You ABSOLUTELY, CANNOT buy a ticket to the FULL THROTTLE event. . .it's a private event for non-profit events and fans that pre-purchased their tickets online, it's as simple as that, it's been stated as such for months. . .get to the event page, order now and $ave!!

Another pet peeve:  athletes saying "I didn't know there was an afternoon event."  Honestly, are you kidding me??  Makes an extremely poor impression amongst some of the featured stars we have coming in that have lived the life every regional star wants to live (i.e. wrestling full time in WWE).  You can lead the horse to water, but you can't make it drink. . . .

John Cena Sr.'s SS8 preview video is online, I'm sure he loved hearing himself talk. . . it is available online for your viewing pleasure. . .tons of stuff coming to the site between now and March 24th.  Again, we ask that you tell your friends, tell your family, get on Facebook and Twitter, spread the word so we can rock Memorial Hall on the 24th. . . .Melrose said "FU" to pro wrestling for eight long years before we finally got into the Hall. . .I'm excited to show each and every person that tried to hold us back how much good this sport can do when over a half dozen non-profits enjoy our afternoon event and see the priceless reactions on the faces kids the city gives little to do. . . heat!!

MARCH 9TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
15 days away?!?!?  The countdown continues towards SOUL SURVIVOR VIII. . .

Had to hold off on announcing it, but last week we broke our all time pre-order record, which is very impressive as we were over three weeks away at that point and a large chunk come a couple of days before the pre-sale cutoff (in this case, it is Tuesday, March 20th - after that, tickets are only sold at Memorial Hall March 24th at regular prices - no VIP Packages will be sold under any circumstances - so in other words, act now, order yours today and save!!). . .

Sunday was another long one. . .went to pick up the promotional materials for SS8 and they weren't ready after being given an ETA of Thursday night. . . .wasn't exactly smiling from ear to ear as I had to go back. . .another long albeit productive night at MWF Studios. . .spent nearly 6 hours producing our SS8 commercial that will air on Raw and Smackdown. . . got some great news about a project coming up that might not impact SS8 due to the date on the calendar, but something soon. . .

Monday, had to rush back to pick up the hand-outs for Monday. . .came home for about an hour then headed into Boston for Raw. . . the troops were ready and feedback from the fans was extremely positive, always great to hear!!  Quincy Restani was there to help, but he arrived nearly an hour and a half early. . .that led to him trying to get the Boston Garden security team to page us and several messages on my answering machine from the Garden. . . he makes things "interesting". . . enjoyed the first two and final segment of Raw a great deal. . . Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler had an outstanding match for Superstars before Raw went live. . .happy that "little" Little Mirade's stepbrother was able to enjoy the event live. . . train ride home was one for the books.  When Cena Sleazena was doing his little dog and pony show for the fans entering the building, I let him know that North Carolina's an inside job, then he started running off some kind of poem. . .please. . .

Tuesday was where mayhem started. . .one of those days you wish there were no cell phones or way to communicate with people when you're not at home. . .have had a little tension with a well paid superstar that's competed in the MWF before, he said he would do something for us last September. . . with the event being so crazy and after-event gatherings turning into late nights of relaxation and fun, the issue at hand didn't get done.  After a couple of months of having texts and emails ignored, I got more than a little annoyed by it, but by the end of the day, it appeared to have worked itself out. . . .

Then we had the Zema Ion issue pop up during the same ride to Mohegan Sun. . . to sum up the story as easy as possible:
--  Zema has a contract with TNA
--  Zema contacted the MWF about competing for us
--  Zema agreed to appear at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII
--  Zema conducted an interview
--  We purchased an airline ticket for him and put together a match between him and Frankie Arion
--  Zema was needed as a late substitution on TNA's non-televised live events the weekend of SOUL SURVIVOR VIII
--  Zema's TNA contract takes precedent over anything he does outside the company, including March 24th

There it is, an honest description of the situation.  Whether you like Zema's antics in or out of the ring, you can't deny he's a hell of a wrestler who we were looking forward to having at the event, especially against the debuting Frankie Arion.  But, his contract with TNA is his contract with TNA.  Is it frustrating for us??  Absolutely.  We hate it when a situation comes up where an advertised wrestler does not appear, but it happens, unfortunately.  We get screwed on the airline ticket we purchased.  The hours spent at MWF Studios promoting his appearance has gone to waste.  We have to re-produce the aforementioned television commercial now that he's not going to be there, which is going to eat up another Sunday night.  I had an idea and requested something from Zema, still waiting on word to see if he could make it happen. . . whether he responds and / or agrees, I do not know. . . all I know is that everyone involved in this event will continue to work around the clock to try to give every fan the best experience humanly possible. . .

Trying to find a replacement this late in the game stuck on a certain dollar amount is an extreme challenge.  It also leaves Arion in limbo.  Re-confirmed with "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards that he'll be on tour outside the country.  Spoke to another star that appears to have something lined up. . . it's very, very frustrating, especially when there's so much else to do. . .

For a couple of hours, tried to shut my brain down at Mohegan and was a nice night, but there's no escaping the MWF, MWF work and/or MWF talk.  It isn't a "job," it's a way of life, each and everyday, no matter where you are or what you're doing.  My back and feet were very happy to wind up with a comped room at ol' Mohegan, another one for the book.  Didn't have enough meds with me Wednesday, so the trip home wasn't the easiest, "but". . .

Arriving home Wednesday, the "pause" button was hit again when learning of Awesome Kong / Kharma's loss.  Even sitting here two days later, I'm somewhat at a loss for words.  Despite what you see on television, the woman has the biggest heart in professional wrestling, as I spoke about on MWF iTalk #9.  It absolutely killed me to hear this news and to imagine what she's going through.  She's been a great friend since we met at the 2009 CAC reunion in Las Vegas, WWE allowed her to have her final match as Awesome Kong here in the MWF in a steel cage match that sent J-Busta packing, and no matter where she's competing, she'll always be a part of the Millennium Wrestling Federation family.  To keep it simple publicly, our thoughts are with her and her family. . .

Back to grind all night Wednesday to prepare for another MWF Studio Thursday. . .taped a "bonus" weekday MWF Newsline video and the latest MWF iTalk.  Had to map out plans for the next few studio visits. . .long night. . .for some reason, someone convinced me to watch the Devil Wears Prada. . .there's a joke in there I apparently don't understand. . . .

On Thursday, was able to go into the studio a little later than usual where I pre-taped a few things instead of recording them there. . . so it was "only" an eight hour or so, stressful, night. . . the previously mentioned videos are online, as well as that scumbag John Cena Sr.'s SS8 preview video. . . the March Cyberstarz should be online this weekend as well. . .

Very happy to be able to add to our charity auctions and raffles March 24th.  Autographed WWE promo photos of Randy Orton, Sin Cara, WWE Champion CM Punk AND the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling "Stone Cold" Steve Austin??  Give me a hell yeah!!  And I'm not done trying yet, I want everyone in attendance March 24th walking out the door with something good. . .why??  Because we love you guys!!

Lots of work to do as the adventure continues. . . what history pieces these live event BLOG's are going to be someday!!

MARCH 5TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Can I ever get a quick update in??  1:48AM, back pain ridiculous after another long night at MWF Studios. . .but it was work that needed to be done. . .people can and do have a variety of opinions about me, but no one will ever be able to question my work ethic in any aspect of life.  Very proud to state that we've blown by the number of advanced orders for any event in our ten-plus years.  If that isn't a great feeling, I don't know what is.  It actually happened Thursday night, but with so much going on at the studio figured we'd save it for tonight's update (which can be found on the front page of the site). . .

"Pause" before I continue to send out our thoughts to the family and friends of Doug Furnas.  Not a personal friend but someone I met at various WWF and ECW events in 1996 and 1997, I believe.  Nice guy, sad to see such a young death with a variety of health problems that plagued him. . . .

The "pause" continues as ROAD TO THE GOLD in Fairmont, NC was yet another success last night.  I'm going to have more on that later this week. . . nearly 400 fans jam packed the Fairmont Middle School, would have loved to have been there to meet former WWE Champion Ivan Koloff, but John Cena Sleazena banned me from the event due to the negative tone of emails I'd written.  Please.  Love visiting NC, the only thing I didn't regret was the air travel that would have killed my back, along with being a virtual zombie tonight at MWF Studios. . . .

Lots of news since my last BLOG update. . . wish I had the time to update it more, but to get an event of this size ready when so many of our staff are preparing to move to the Carolina's has led to little free time.  Our offer for a free WWE T-Shirt has set sail. . . many thanks to all of our great MWF Superfans that took advantage of it.  We will email you later this week, as it's shaping up to be a busy one after seven plus hours at the studio tonight with SOUL SURVIVOR VIII prep work, Raw in Boston, Smackdown at Mohegan Sun and what looks like another wild session at MWF Studios Thursday. . .we will email you directly with a list of styles and sizes, simply respond with a few choices in order of preference.  We'll fulfill the requests in the order VIP's were ordered.  For those that got their VIP Package for only $40 around Christmas time. . .border line theft!!

The final two matches of the event have been announced, unique and impressive.  Veteran Al Snow returns to the MWF and will take on "East Coast Cowboy" DJ Dubay.  Dubay made a scene at MWF Studios hollering and screaming about "understanding."  He's somehow under the impression that he defeated WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas on the November Cyberstarz TV program after trying to humiliate Tony all summer over his foot fetish.  Considering Atlas won, I'm not sure where Dubay's head is.  We'll have an extensive preview of this match later this week. . .

The other new match is one I'm extremely excited to see as two hungry, young athletes make their debut;  it will be Frankie Arion facing Zema Ion in singles action.  Arion's made a hell of a name for himself throughout the northeast to die hard fans but has yet to break through the glass ceiling to the national level.  Zema, on the other hand, has a very interesting resume, competing all over the US, Mexico, Japan and India.  This summer, he earned a spot onto TNA's X-Division PPV and has lit the division on fire.  When TNA was in MA in January, several TNA officials told me that they believed Zema was the future of the X-Division, and they could be correct as he challenges Austin Aries for the title at Victory Road this month.  As much as I know it won't happen, I would love to be able to sit down and watch this match live. . .another must see for the fans in attendance. . .

Being able to give away not one, not two but three official WWE PPV chairs is another cool perk that's part of the event.  We have a 2012 Royal Rumble chair as part of our Main Event Raffle during SS8, a 2011 Capital Punishment PPV chair that's part of the free VIP exclusive raffle, and for our private FULL THROTTLE charity event during the afternoon that's open to MWF Superfans that pre-purchase event tickets online in advance, we have another Royal Rumble chair for you.  It makes us happy to be able to do it, but the real thanks goes to some great people at WWE who have helped make our events bigger and better over the past decade. . .

More news and notes to come. . .while I'd love to BLOG with you daily, God doesn't give me 30 hours a day to work with.  Continue to check out the site daily, our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.  We're grateful for, ask for and need your support to make this bad boy happen. . .it's amazing that our journey concludes in less than three weeks. . .until next time, be well. . .

MWF Superfans, I'm so excited I can't sleep. . .well, that's been an on-going problem for a month or so, but nonetheless we're just four weeks away from SOUL SURVIVOR VIII.  I think back to that fateful night at Memorial Hall last September 17th when Cena Sr. stuck the knife in all of our backs, from the athletes, to the staff to you - our fans.  And in four weeks, it looks like we've come to a dead end road. . . .

But you know what??  If we're going down, we're going down with a fight and going out with a bang!!  Focusing on just the event itself, it's an all day professional wrestling extravaganza with something for absolutely everybody.  Not one but two killer live events, eight featured superstars, an autograph / photo fanfest, charity auctions & raffles, discounted merchandise and so much more.  Our VIP Packages are the best value in wrestling - bar none (see below) - and we still have discounted floor seats and general admission tickets available for a limited time.  We've announced about two-thirds of the line-up, I'm really proud of the body of work and effort put into this event with the circumstances a lot of hard working people are surrounded by thanks to that scumbag Cena Sleazena.

Did you catch my announcement Thursday night??  Come on, let me have a little bit of an ego.  The video with complete details can be found on the SS8 event page, but to sum it up in simple terms, if you've already bought or you buy a VIP Package by Sunday night, March 4th, you will receive a brand new WWE t-shirt valued at $25-$30 ABSOLUTELY FREE!!  Again, this our thanks to you for helping us pay the bills.  The story of the MWF has been an interesting ride, let me tell you. . .but through thick and thin, we've always had supportive, passionate fans that have not only enjoyed the best wrestling in New England, but, you've also been a part in us being able to raise tens of thousands of dollars for good people from great charities.  You, too, should be proud of yourselves.  One thing to keep in mind as I can see it being a potential issue, but this offer is limited to ONE free shirt per person and/or address.  For example, you can't order ten VIP Packages in ten different orders and get ten shirts.  We've gotta be fair to everybody, we want to take care of as many fans as possible.  There's going to be tons of discounted merchandise for everybody that night, especially if you put your $5 MWF Merchandise table coupon to good use. . . .

I tried to answer some questions we receive about SS8 (and the MWF in general) in the new, 7th installment of MWF iTalk, which is available online. . .

Important notes for this week. . . tomorrow night, February 26th, we're going to announce a new match for SS8 along some event scoops in our weekly MWF Newsline:  Countdown To SOUL SURVIVOR VIII video.  At some point this week, we're scheduled to have Paul Bearer join us for an interview.  And on Thursday. . .I'm getting that itch again. . . last week, it was the free WWE t-shirts. . . this week. . .honestly, I have to pay a visit to FedEx as I missed their deliveries from WWE and don't want to announce anything unless we have it in hand. . .

A day early, I wanted to wish a very happy 14th birthday to one half of our MWF Junior Ambassadors Brandon Jay.  To think that "the little guy" is 14 years old blows my mind. . .when I was taping iTalk Thursday night, I was flashing back to him in the control room at the studio at four years old coloring pictures.  At SOUL SURVIVOR I, we were in the parking lot playing wiffle ball (that would be quite the sight in my present condition) early in the afternoon before the event. . .running around another event with Al Snow and Jay Lethal with an ear-to-ear grin.  I have a lot of frustration with the world right now, but him and his brother are the two greatest gifts God ever gave me. . .so happy birthday kid. . .enjoy every minute of it, soon you'll be as old as me!!

Finally, we're going to keep asking, please spread the word about this great event to all of your wrestling friends, family, wrestling web-sites you visit, Facebook, Twitter, etc.  Beyond investing a small fortune in an event of this size, the amount of hours put into it would blow your mind.  Sometimes certain athletes can get the extra boost based off the energy from the crowd, so come on out, you will not regret it!!

FEBRUARY 21ST, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
32 days and counting to SOUL SURVIVOR - wow!!

Couple of interesting days, lets get you all caught up to speed. . .these are the posts I really enjoy making instead of the "gotta do it" type feeling. . .

We're really pushing the VIP ticket sales fans. . .as good as they are, there's a simple reason for it - we're not sold out yet.  That's the goal.  Whether VIP, floor, general admission, we would sincerely appreciate you passing along information about this all day extravaganza to each and every pro wrestling fan you've ever met. . .personally, for dedicating over ten years of my life to this and having zero interest to move to North Carolina (as nice as it is down there), I want to shove success down Cena's throat. . .

Great interview with the veteran Finlay online now. . . I enjoy many of his thoughts. . .

Was extremely impressed with "Superstar of Sin" Scott Reed upping his game and taking his opinions on Julian Starr, John Cena Sr. and the MWF to the streets of New York City, namely, Madison Square Garden.  Would love to see more athletes forget about posting what they had to eat, what a long weekend they had, etc., and put themselves in a better position within the MWF. . .Facebook will still be there when you're done, I promise. . .Starr wants revenge for having the knife stuck in his back on the February Cyberstarz, but, Reed wants "it". . .big difference. . .their match is one to watch. . .

Yesterday, the poor UPS guy broke his ass dropping off a couple of massive boxes from good friends at WWE. . .it was like fireworks went off in my mind with all the different thoughts dancing around in there. . .hate to disappoint, so I'm going to attempt to keep my mouth shut until Thursday. . .last night I shot off an email to a few MWF officials with my ideas. . . a lot of the time they think I'm insane (and they might be right, but. . .). . . this is yet another tremendous reason to get your VIP Packages to the big one March 24th, this is something that I cannot do for everyone as much as Cena said this event is "mine" to produce. . .and to an extent, that's not a bad thing because you guys are investing more for us to "pay the bills" so to speak. . . my goal / hope / expectation is that Thursday night, I'm going to be able to get a video produced with the scoop, news and --------- to post online asap to increase your excitement level. . . .

In another one I'm really staying hands off of until / if it actually happens when WWE returns to Boston March 5th, we might really have something to add some sizzle to the free, exclusive VIP raffles we have. . . at MWF X in September, we had the Randy Orton autographed photos, the Sin Cara autographed photos, the Vince McMahon autographed photo, all for free for our VIP's. . . I'm not even going to come close to tease because it's not fair to get folks hopes up, but I'd say there's a better than 50% chance we're going to have another VIP announcement coming that week. . .

If you have any questions of interest surrounding SOUL SURVIVOR VIII about wrestlers, matches, etc., I'm going to answer some questions on the next edition of MWF iTalk Radio. . . when I have the time (ha!) I enjoy doing these programs. . . .I'm thinking Thursday night will be the one. . .

Sleep's a mess, so you know it's SOUL SURVIVOR time.  I think everyone's extremely happy and grateful to the fans for advanced ticket sales to be moving so well, and at the same time, they're the best value in wrestling, they should be moving!!  If this happened at every event, maybe Cena's little con-game wouldn't have worked so well. . .funny that the same day I was "banned" from NC by that old scumbag that I was sent on a special assignment to New York City. . .

Al Snow's interview from the SOUL SURVIVOR Super Bowl Super Sunday is online. . .

Had a chance to speak to our friends from WWE this week, we might have even more great stuff added to the loaded charity auctions and raffles coming up.  I know we'll have a boatload of discounted WWE DVD's and you'll save even more if you put your $5 MWF Merchandise table coupon to use!!

I've had a chance to see the entire card for SS8 and it is outstanding. . .our sixth big match will be announced this Sunday on the weekly MWF Newsline:  Countdown To SOUL SURVIVOR video on the front page of the site!!

FEBRUARY 10TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Is it Monday yet??  How many days until spring training??

Long, productive night at MWF Studios. . .lots of video to produce this coming Sunday night so had to get tons of SOUL SURVIVOR related projects to work on.  Love some of the athletes coming out of the woodwork wanting more exposure in an MWF ring or to make their debuts before the big event. . .

This weekend on the MWF Newsline, another big match for the March 24th extravaganza will be announced.  As far as a new edition of MWF iTalk, "I tap" this week, worn to the bone before I even get out of bed in the morning. . .

Lots of interesting interviews coming your way as we get closer to SS8. . .love to hear what the athletes have to say as D-Day approaches. . .

Another positive signs that things are moving in the right direction is that ticket sales are extremely positive at this point. . .in my opinion, anyone that puts any stock in what advance ticket sales are is a fool. . .there are too many variables that go into the final weeks and days before the event, never mind real life situations that pop up the day of the card itself. . . until the SRO signs go up, it's nice to be optimistic but still need our MWF Superfans to continue to spread the word to friends, family and fans around the northeast to get the best value and experience in professional wrestling. . .I think if you take a look at the comparison I created, you'll realize that theory is pretty accurate. . . still, much better than the alternative. . .

Looking to get everything organized and announced as far as our charity auctions, raffles and VIP exclusive raffles go. . .having patience and waiting on slow people is not a gift God gave to me when we're anxious to give the fans the inside scoop. . .

Stay tuned. . .

FEBRUARY 8TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Here anything news about SOUL SURVIVOR??  I really enjoyed our Super Bowl special. . .highlighted several key areas in my latest Inside The MWF column for those inclined. . .

As noted, the discounted VIP Package sells itself as the best value in professional wrestling.  The lucky / smart / quick ones got in one the goods for only forty bucks at Christmas time.  Even now at $45 it's a steal with over $200 in value (and more to come).  Front row seat to not one but two live events, an autograph from each of eight featured superstars, a posed photo with each featured superstar, a $5 MWF Merchandise table coupon, free VIP exclusive raffles and more!!

To compare, look at what TNA offers in their ultra experiences.  VIP Ticket $50.  Doesn't guarantee you a front row ticket (but one within the first few rows).  Gives you an autograph session with a few of their stars (no posed photos).  For another $50, you can get a Backstage Pass where you can meet some of the top stars during intermission.  During the most recent MA events, you could get a Jeff Hardy autograph if you purchased a $20 action figure.  At the end of the night, for $10-$20, you can have your picture taken in the ring with the featured star of the night.  To get just about everybody signed, you're talking $130-$140 and that doesn't include photos with most.

WWE is too large of a beast to handle something like that.  The closest example would be their Fan Axxess event WrestleMania week.  You can get a VIP ticket to one single Axxess event that gives you a guaranteed autograph and photo with the star of the session, autographs with other members of the roster, unique WWE experiences, bonus matches.  However, that $100 does not include admission to WrestleMania or the opportunity to meet the rest of the superstars at other Fan Axxess' during the week.

This isn't putting down what either WWE or TNA does in giving fans the opportunity to meet the superstars and experience live action.  It takes (expensive) time and money.  We just feel if you compare what you get, the MWF's VIP Packages are a TREMENDOUS value. . . we hope you'll feel the same and join us live March 24th. . .you won't regret it!!

Look for the MWF's SOUL SURVIVOR Super Bowl Super Sunday this coming Sunday afternoon around 3PM or so.  It's going to be a LONG day for everyone involved but it should be an exciting day here in the Millennium Wrestling Federation as we get closer and closer to the big one. . .

Big matches. . .big superstars. . .big surprises!!

Quick update. . .never have I been so happy to have so much work to do!!  A lot can be said about what went down over the past ten days in regards to the sabotage of this site as well as our email accounts (which still don't work). . .Homestead's communication was pathetic, no direct answers. . . this took place the same day the internet went wild over the whole SOPA deal, did it have something to do with that??  Another "inside job" from John Cena Sr.??  Just complete stupidity from our host??  Still would like to know.  It's sad that it took  the local police getting involved for them to do anything. . .

The Patriots made us proud as they have another Super Bowl to get ready for, however, for MWF fans, the SOUL SURVIVOR Super Bowl Super Sunday the afternoon of February 5th is going to be worth watching (and then some).  Big superstars, big matches, big surprises!!  Fans that missed out on getting VIP Packages for only $40 are going to be kicking themselves;  however, they're still available at only $45 for a limited time!!  Best value in professional wrestling. . .

JANUARY 17TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
It was a long couple of nights as we get closer and closer to the Ides of March. . . conversations continue, an overwhelming amount of work at MWF Studios was put in.  No one on this team has ever hid from a hard night / week / month's work. . . with my back feeling crushed from really doing next to nothing besides having to sit, speak and concentrate, it reminds me that it was in the best interest for both SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th in Melrose and my own personal health to not indulge in the forbidden fruit, that being the unsanctioned physical altercation with "Stalker" Dylan Kage.  I have no doubt that Finlay is going to absolutely destroy that scum. . .

The Twitter giveaway was a cool idea to try to spread the word about the big event. . .I'm all for anything to try to get new fans to take part in the Millennium Wrestling Federation experience. . .

We've reached an interesting point right now. . . still having on-going talks with several stars about taking part in the event but I'm also very happy with the line-up we do have.  The biggest point of contention to yours truly is finalizing the championship main event. . . who will Low Ki defend against??  Look at the roster from top to bottom, so many options, so many deserving athletes.  The only two "out of contention" would have to be Kage and Finlay.  I know the match I want the two athletes I want to compete that I believe will give the fans a match for the ages. . . it's a matter of finalizing contracts, agreements, etc.  While we literally take no days off, sometimes the athletes, representation, legal folks, etc., don't move at our speed.  Being an impatient person when it comes to this sport, it's frustrating. . .

As we wrap up this installment of the BLOG, check out interviews conducted with MWF Heavyweight Champion Low Ki and Bushwhacker Luke I conducted Sunday night.  Ki was intense and held nothing back. . .really enjoyed it and proud to see this competitor as the face of the MWF.  The wild and crazy Luke has been a friend going back to his debut in the late Tony Rumble's CWA in December 1993 in Tewksbury, MA.  He worked together on the BUSHWHACKER BENEFIT in 2001, had planned an in-studio Studio Shoot Interview DVD taping when Luke was set to be in the area a couple of summers ago when the other party bringing Luke in had "demon fever."  Both interviews are worth checking out. . . .

The mission continues. . . we've got VIP Packages and event tickets waiting for you!!

JANUARY 14TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Last time, we announced that  WWE legend Bushwhacker Luke makes his MWF debut at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII Saturday, March 24th at Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA.  As we speak, there's a very good chance we could add a former WWE World Champion, another certain Hall of Famer.  With the number of superstars already signed for this event and the budget we already have, can we get this green lighted by the powers that be??  Bottom line is, we need ticket sales.  If you've already purchased your VIP Packages and event tickets, thank you very much for your support.  If you haven't, help the cause - get 'em now at discounted prices.  Use social media and tell your friends about it.  It's interactive interaction, fan friendly, and without a doubt the best value in professional wrestling where the superstars and legends of yesterday, today and tomorrow come together in one night. . . it's going to be a happening!!

Last night, learned of an exciting addition to the roster.  We're always on the manhunt for quality athletes that have that hunger inside of them to excel in this sport and I believe we may have just that.  The graphics wizards are trying to put something together as I wait for the official-official confirmation. . .outside of "the bubble" of stress and frustration going on right now behind the scenes over North Carolina, SS8 is shaping up to be a blowaway event. . .  we're just ten weeks away, it's creeping up on us!!

JANUARY 6TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Woah!!  Hongy!!  Bloody tell your mother!!  WWE legend Bushwhacker Luke makes his MWF debut at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII Saturday, March 24th at Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA.  Very excited to have a part of one of WWE's classic tag teams of all time compete in an MWF ring.  Our hungry, young athletes should sponge off of this man - debuting in 1964, he's competed in six different decades!!  Luke's been a long time friend going back to the days of the late "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble's CWA and the fundraiser we ran for Bushwhacker Butch ten years ago last Wednesday.  We've been trying to work something out for a few years now, but the stars didn't allign until this past week for it to take place at the big one.  We're going to extend our discounted VIP Package price to fans for an extra day in honor of MWF official Tony Jordan (cheaper than buying him a gift). . .

So what's next??  Is this the full line-up of featured superstars for the meet & greet??  It is a possibility.  There's also a possibility that one (or a very slim chance two) more could be added if the deal is right for the MWF, if the deal is right for the fans, and if the athlete is comfortable with it.  We had seriously talked about bringing in a household name Hall of Famer for a meet & greet in the afternoon March 24th, but it came down to the deal wasn't right. . .happens in every sport.  I have a general idea of how WWE handles certain situation, and bottom line is this organization will not be. . .I don't want to say taken advantage of, maybe. . ."treated differently," how's that for PC (especially coming from me)??    Either or both of the other aforementioned individuals would be making their MWF debuts and add a lot of spice to the event. . . .

Also, there's an extremely, extremely slim chance that we'll be adding yet another household name known to fans around the world for SOUL SURVIVOR, but IF (again, stress IF) it happens, it will be something that happens very late in the game (as in February-ish).  It would also be a situation where the individual would be separate than a VIP Package, although we'd likely discount it to those that have VIP Packages as we have always tried to remain loyal to those that brought us to the dance. . . don't count on it, but make a wish. . . I am. . .

A lot of work being done as far as the raffles and auctions we're going to have. . . I'm told some really cool stuff is going to be officially added at any time now.  I will not announce anything until it is officially in hand.  Being a very impatient human being when it comes to these types of things, it's frustrating. . . I want you guys to know just how great of a value you're getting. . . .

And then there's the actual line-up itself.  "On paper," it looks fantastic from top to bottom.  There's one piece to the puzzle that could create an interesting domino effect, but again, thinking positive, what I have saved on my computer at MWF Studios is going to be the real deal.  I expect at least some news over the weekend. . .don't miss a day on the site, join us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter. . .you never know what's going down this time of year!!

PS:  John Cena Sr., any news on ROAD TO THE GOLD in Fairmont, NC March 3rd, cough, cough??

Another superstar has been signed for SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th in Melrose - if you want to take advantage of the discounted prices available now, act quick.  The announcement this star making their MWF debut will be announced Thursday night, January 5th, then the price goes up.  Pretty simple.  Lots of giveaways in the works, but don't want to announce anything until we have the items in hand. . .really great stuff is going to be available in auction and raffle format. . .

Who will Low Ki defend the MWF Championship against??  Interested in fan feedback as I have a few ideas in mind. . .

DECEMBER 28TH, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
That was a Christmas surprise!!  Last minute, unexpected. . .didn't exactly ask everyone at MWF Headquarters for their opinion but then again, several forgot Christmas cards sent to Mirade Hill so what will be will be.  I think the fans level of excitement for SOUL SURVIVOR VIII is certainly rising, and what's even better is that there's still more to come!!

More questions than answers. . .

MWF Heavyweight Champion Low Ki returns March 24th, but who will be deemed the number one contender??  Unlike "some," I'm open to input and reasoning from others.  I'm not going to say "hey, you're my best pal, you get the nod."  It will be an athlete, hero or villain, that is going to give Low Ki everything he has insides the confines of a one hour time limit.  This isn't candystore wrestling, I take the championship main event very seriously. . .

Carlito returns at the finale as part of multiple-appearance agreement.  The multi-time WWE IC, US and Tag Team Champion makes his MWF television debut on the January Cyberstarz. . .what are his goals here in the king of sports in New England??

The veteran Finlay makes his MWF debut at SS8, very excited about this one.  Finlay was someone we worked very hard to bring to MWF X last September for our tenth anniversary bash, but he already had an agreement to compete elsewhere that night.  Get ready for a physical, intense battle when the bell rings, someone that will excel inside the squared circle and will be an asset for the hungry, young athletes in our locker room. . .

Until we announce the complete list of featured guests, VIP Packages and admission tickets are on-sale at a discounted rate.  The VIP's are flying, and why shouldn't they be??  A guaranteed front row seat, one autograph from each featured superstar, one posed photo with each featured superstar, an exclusive raffle for VIP's only, free admission to FULL THROTTLE earlier afternoon and so much more to announce!!  Really happy to be able to do it for the best fans in the northeast!!  No matter what John Cena Sr. says, we know your passion for this sport exceeds that of anywhere in the world. . .

Just wanted to touch base and share my excitement. . . stay tuned for more news coming your way!!

DECEMBER 22ND, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
The roller coaster ride never ends in professional wrestling.  After the excitement of finalizing deals for superstars appearing at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th, we learned that former Lt. Commissioner Sonny Yee has passed away. . . a loss for everyone that has been with the company for more than a few years. . . made for a tough night at the office, to say the least. . .

And with that said, more interesting things in the works.  Possibility of a true legend of the sport coming to SS8.  Question is, can we make it work financially for the MWF and the fans??  There are many instances where certain stars want ridiculous money, far more than they'd make in a day at WWE, to come in.  Do fans want to pay $50 for an autograph??  I've always been against that. . .I think the Millennium Wrestling Federation has always been an extremely good value considering everything you get (especially the VIP Packages) compared to other northeast "indy's."  Similar to a Carl Crawford type deal with the Red Sox - would love to have him on the team, but is he going to be worth the $140 million contract??  One to watch. . .

Also have several other irons in the fire so to speak. . . the goal is to give you the most bang for your buck in wrestling. . . the in-ring line-up we're working on "on paper" is tremendous.  The raffles, auctions, meet & greet provide another layer of excitement and memories to this big event.  A free charity event for several non-profits we work with will kick the afternoon off and be a great, free bonus to any of our MWF Superfans that buy tickets in advance. . . .I sure wish I had a crystal ball to see what's going to happen three months and two days from now, but I have a feeling many situations are going to culminate at Memorial Hall on what should be a historic night indeed. . .

DECEMBER 19TH, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
In this sport, there are good days, bad days, crazy days, exciting days.  While most of us are getting ready for Christmas or other holidays, we've been busy playing "wrestling Santa" around the clock.  SOUL SURVIVOR VIII, our March 24th, 2012 labor of love frozen in time until our November 30th "hearing.  We knew Paul Bearer and John Cena Sr. are headed in, that we're lining up some great merchandise for you. . .other than that, the waiting game. . .

The official event page is open for business with lots of pages to look around at.  Yesterday, I was disappointed after having several encouraging conversations with a superstar excited to appear in the MWF, but, real life circumstances prevented it from happening March 24th.  Was excited to make a big "thank you" announcement last night (see the November 18th Newsline video on the front page), but it wasn't what I was hoping for.  Yeah, enjoyed getting that news moments before I was headed out the door, but it is what it is. . .

Then today!!  It's like a whole new world opened up.  Why, we have (Superstar XXX) ready to make their big MWF return in Melrose, as well as (Superstar XXX) confirming their debut at SS8!!  This was someone we pushed extremely hard to get for our 10th anniversary event last September but had already come to terms to appear at a card somewhere else in the world.  Not March 24th, they're headed to Boston!!

While we're hoping to announce everything this week, and get those VIP Packages and event tickets on-sale, we're not done yet!!  Stay tuned. . .

DECEMBER 12TH, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
"Excited" and "tense" are two strong feelings right now.  First, we have such a great, positive announcement coming your way for March 24th.  In the past ten plus years, we've had great success, we've had great learning opportunities and room for improvement. . .but one thing that's always been paramount is "giving back."  To our loyal fans, I can't think of a more special gift we have for you. . .I'm waiting for the proper people to sign off on it, but it is something we have never done, and I'm 99.99% sure it's going to happen.  That's a great feeling, because as stressful as this sport is, there's a lot of love that goes out to the fans from the organization and our athletes. . .

Had more positive, productive conversations with and about the featured superstars at SS8. . .a couple of interesting firsts are a very real possibility.  I hate the waiting. . .I understand it's part of the game, but every time the phone rings, every time you get a text, every time your email refreshes, you're "hoping" that it's a confirmation or further dialogue. . .we're getting there, though, I can feel it.  Usually, the wrestling God's create a situation where they start coming rapid fire almost all at once. . .I think the version of the line-up that exists right now is the biggest match for match in MWF history. . .time will tell, but the effort will not end. . .

DECEMBER 9TH, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
Yesterday reached out to folks at TNA officials over a few matters, including SOUL SURVIVOR VIII. . .

The most frustrating part of this is "the wait."  Sometimes you can come up with great ideas, have positive conversations with them, but the official "yes" can take forever.  The process for SS8 was delayed to a ridiculous pace thanks to Cena Sleazena.  Yes, he was ever so kind to extend the offer allowing me to construct our northeast grand finale on March 24th, but he did so knowing we had almost zero movement until the hearing we had November 30th.  So in reality, while Cena went through with his execution at MWF X September 17th, there was little I could do until last Wednesday.  We know Paul Bearer is in, we have some tremendous Undertaker and John Cena autographed items fans can win, but other than that, I was literally limited to some off the record type conversations as I will not - nor never - make a promise I cannot keep.  It's unfair to the talent, it's unfair to the fans.  It's common place in some corners of the wrestling world, but it never has in the Millennium Wrestling Federation, and no matter what hat I've been where at whatever time, I take great pride in that.  My body clock is so messed up I've been sleeping two or three times a day instead of once a night. . .almost like a starting pitcher going turning into a relief pitcher.  I've always enjoyed a challenge, and this is indeed a challenge. . .

Came up with an idea I love for our MWF Superfans that I'm trying to push through the proper in-house channels so we can officially announce it. . .if you purchase VIP Packages / tickets in advance, I think you're really going to love this one. . .just gotta make it happen. . .

*** HOT STOVE NEWS *** late this evening spoke to a major superstar about appearing at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII.  This athlete has never competed in the Millennium Wrestling Federation and is certainly someone known worldwide that could make a major impact in and out of the ring.  He's available to be in Melrose, now it comes down to the negotiations. . .can we put together the right deal for the right event??

Earlier this week, reached out to two other superstars about taking part in the event as well. . .the goal is to get this done as quickly as possible after everything worked out relatively smoothly November 30th. . . .stay tuned!!

DECEMBER 1ST, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
Ladies and gentlemen, it is indeed "time."  After three of the most difficult days of my life, there's a fresh coat of paint on life here in the Millennium Wrestling Federation as well as life in general.  I could sit here for hours (or days) and unleash on John Cena Sr., but he entrusted me with our March 24th extravaganza, while at the same time handcuffing our New England efforts behind the scenes (that's the fun stuff you guys miss). . .

I was honestly expecting to sleep in today as I've had maybe 20-25 hours since Friday things have been so hectic.  Instead, I was up before 8AM at first trying to fight it, then said the hell with it, let's roll.  There's so much work to do today. . .lots of people to talk / type to.  The wrestling world is usually on a different clock than the rest of society, so I'll do some busy work for a few hours.  Maybe it's a coincidence or a sign of great things to come;  I've noted several times of late that what's been going on here is similar to the stories you've been hearing about with the Boston Red Sox.  Yesterday as I got on the train to go into Boston for the first time in I don't know how many years to try to wrap "it" up, almost every newspaper reader I saw had the sports section opened to Bobby Valentine becoming their new manager (and to show how tired I am, I typed the legendary Johnny Valentine's name, who I can assure you will not be the manager of the Red Sox). . .

The biggest questions I can't officially answer right now are "who and when" in regards to featured superstars and when VIP Packages and tickets go on-sale.  It's being worked on as we speak. . .I've had numerous informal conversations with athletes over the event.  As noted, one of the sports legends would have loved to have been with us in Melrose, but is worried about potential WrestleMania related conflict, which I understand.  Have had some great conversations with someone that's finally reached the national spotlight and whose stock is going to grow around the world.  Is he a perfect fit for this event??  It's impossible to say until the chips fall into place.  I will say that late last night I contacted one of the best in-ring superstars in modern times that we were hoping would have been with us at MWF X but already had a prior commitment that night.  He's never appeared at an MWF event and would be a tremendous for the fans and younger athletes in the locker room.  The waiting game sometimes drives you nuts where there are endless possibilities.  When you think about it, there's the potential to bring in anyone that doesn't have a full time WWE contract (and look at ROAD TO THE GOLD earlier this year when Daniel Bryan appeared while holding the WWE US Championship, Paul Bearer in the middle of the Kane/Edge issue on Smackdown, and Kharma / Awesome Kong making her final appearance after signing with WWE).  Sometimes we're just as surprised and excited as the fans to see how the chips fall. . .

It's hard to make a promise or throw out a dollar amount, but I'd like to see the VIP Packages discounted for our Superfans.  Last thing we'd want to do is say they'll be X amount of dollars, then we're able to work out a unique deal with an expensive star and have to increase them.  Right now, the line-up is almost like a blank canvas as there's only one match officially signed.  That gives us the opportunity to be creative. . .and can be stressful at the same time.  What I wouldn't do to get things finalized for fans by next weekend as we had some great holiday ideas in the works but honestly don't want to put tickets on-sale until everything is a go. . .

Also working on a variety of giveaways and cool raffle items for you guys.  We've already announced the autographed Undertaker WrestleMania 27 plaque that includes a piece of the ring rope every superstar on the card used, and this past Sunday added a double-matted, autographed John Cena photo - throw that in a frame, and you're talking about a $75-$100 collectible.  When you see the looks on fans faces when they've won an item. . .it's just awesome.  Beyond the sport of professional wrestling, I've always believed part of our job is to create memories and smiles, and our batting average is really good in that regard. . .

NOVEMBER 22ND, 2011 - by Dan Mirade
"Good morning". . .wanted to post a quick update about what's going on at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII. . .after the past few weeks, things at MWF Headquarters seem to be about as crazy as what's going on with the Boston Red Sox. . . if you believe Cena's story that SSVIII was "my" event to build, continue to drink the Kool Aid. . . our "great debate" can be found on the November Superstar Zone program as long as "Online Overtime" where it became so heated and intense.  Decide for yourself, and ask questions.  I've tried to dance around some of the specific details about it, but a lot is up in the air until after a hearing November 30th. . . more to come on that. . .

Regardless, have had a wide variety of interesting conversations with countless superstars that would like to be a part of the big event March 24th.  Legends, current, the future, a mix of everything.  Several superstars have an interest in being there for unfinished business.  One of the all time greats from WWE wanted to be with us for the first time, but there would be a risk of cancellation due to WrestleMania taking place eight days later.  So many possibilities, it's exciting, it's stressful, you don't know what to expect for eight days. . .then, I expect fireworks going off.  It's disappointing that "Demon" Luis Ortiz will not be with us due to a severe injury that may keep him out of action for up to a year.  I'm sure he'll be keeping tabs on what JBL's Uprising is up to after the surprising financial offer and attack that took place last month on MWF TV. . .

It had been everyone's hope to launch VIP Packages for fans - at the latest - this coming Thanksgiving weekend.  Where so much is in the dark until the 30th, we unfortunately have to wait, but as I stated, once we get over the hump, things are going to explode in an exciting way.  Also, we have another tremendous item fans will have a chance to win on March 24th to go along with the Undertaker WrestleMania 27 autographed plaque with a piece of the ring rope used the night of the big one in Atlanta.  Things are happening everyday, and we're going to make the most of "the finale" that Cena has cornered us into. . .

If we "don't speak" beforehand, Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family & friends. . .

11.11.11 - by Dan Mirade
Even on one of the oddest dated days we'll ever live and personal matters to deal with, no days off!!  I remember 6.6.06 flying to Las Vegas for the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion. . .as I sat in Logan waiting to board, CNN was talking about the devil and how the world was going to end.  Hell, if that was true a plane was probably the best place to be!!

SOUL SURVIVOR VIII points of interest. . . had a chance to interact with a true Hall of Fame legend of the sport as well as a hot up and comer that would really tear things up in the squared circle. . .so many different directions we could take our finale in the northeast in, it's frustrating that we're likely going to have to wait until November 30th before things really start shaking up. . . .

The little Mirade's have it easy - only event they have to worry about putting together is whatever they decide to do on the new WWE '12 game that WWE was nice enough to send us a review copy of eleven days before it hits the store. . .where were these perks when I was a little Mirade??

NOVEMBER 10TH - by Dan Mirade
Quick update fans as we get closer and closer to the November 30th showdown that's going to have HUGE ramifications for SOUL SURVIVOR VIII.  As announced on a recent MWF Newsline video, fans purchasing VIP Packages by December 20th will receive a FREE January 2011 MWF TV DVD featuring three big episodes, including Awesome Kong's final match anywhere in the world before going to WWE as Kharma, as well as an autographed "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal Christmas card mailed to your home before the holiday!!  Keep it as yourself, give it as a gift, it's a rare item, and it's only available to the first 20 purchases (one per address only).

That slob Paul Bearer has also been added to "the finale" March 24th in Melrose.  Some have asked why, having control over the event, I'd want him there. . .maybe the question should be "why not??"

More great stuff in the works, wish we could tell you more.  Really (really) looking forward to tearing into Prez Sleazena Sunday night. . .we're in for quite a ride!!

NOVEMBER 2ND - by Dan Mirade
This past Sunday night, we got Halloween started a little early by announcing that Paul Bearer will indeed by appearing live at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th.  Many have asked "why" I would book Bearer to be at the event where ex-Prez Sleazena and the MWF Board of Directors have left this event and the "lame duck" time up north prior to the move to the Carolina's in April, especially where he would be with his boy "Stalker" Dylan Kage in our Unsanctioned Street Fight.  There are a few reasons.  Business wise, it makes sense.  From a historical standpoint, he belongs there - he debuted at the MWF in 2003, he's been part of three SOUL SURVIVOR's.  He also manages the MWF Tag Team Champions.  Could I be vindictive??  Sure.  But I go with my gut (not to be confused with his gut) in again stating he belongs at the "finale". . .he might just be in for a surprise himself. . . .

A lot of superstars are trying to position themselves to challenge for the MWF Heavyweight Championship at the big event. . .every year, it's very interesting to watch the top athletes in the company politic around and plead their case as to why they've earned it and deserve it.  Other than Dylan, everyone has a shot at this point.  Expect the unexpected in and out of the ring between now and March. . .

In our next MWF Newsline update, we're going to let fans in on not one but two free gifts they'll receive if they purchase SSVIII VIP Packages by Christmas. . .well worth it!!

OCTOBER 24TH - by Dan Mirade
With Halloween just around the corner, it almost seems fitting that last night on our weekly MWF Newsline update that our "main event" raffle item for SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th is an authentic, autographed Undertaker WrestleMania 27 plaque that includes a piece of the ring ropes used by every superstar at WM this year!!  You can't buy this in stores, it sells for hundreds of dollars online if you can even find one. . .near impossible to get - unless you're at SOUL SURVIVOR live, where you have a chance to win it for a couple bucks.  Undertaker autographs are next to impossible to find.  Ask fans that have been to our live events in recent times the cool stuff they've walked away with from our regular raffles as well as VIP-exclusive raffles that we have for our great MWF Superfans that help the cause by purchasing tickets in advance.

Expecting not one but two announcements this Sunday night, one big, one that will be of interest to the fans that take part in the autograph portion of our pre-event meet & greets. . .

OCTOBER 16TH - by Dan Mirade
Next Sunday, October 23rd, we're going to give you a look at the "main event" raffle item at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th, and believe me, it's a great one!!  We've got so many ideas and things we want to do for this event.  This week we'll be reaching out to our MWF Superfans with some ideas. . .our November 30th "issue" is slowing things down, but this is going to be a thrilling night that leaves the fans with a lot of happy memories.  I found Cena's remarks that there "just aren't enough fans in the area" to support our efforts to be insulting. . .North Carolina is a great place, we expect big things there, but for the most part, almost every event we've held over the past ten years has been in the greater Boston area. . .

This will be the first announcement since the Sleaze-na's blockbuster at MWF X (available on the October Cyberstarz) where he gave me the opportunity to take on "Stalker" Dylan Kage in an Unsanctioned Street Fight with Cena himself the guest referee.  In my own hometown, five minutes from where I live, grew up and went to school??  Are you kidding me??

The SOUL SURVIVOR History section has been added, relive seven exciting events to get you ready for SSVIII:  Final Destination!!

OCTOBER 7TH - by Dan Mirade
Wrestling fans, we are just two weeks away. . .from the opening of Paranormal Activity 3 at the movies.  Can deal with monsters, blood & guts, etc., but the ghosts put the fear of God in me. . .almost like having to be in the same room as Sleaze-na at a planning and strategy meeting. . .

With Halloween coming up, I can tell you it's no trick but certainly a treat that we're going to have some tre-men-dous items available for you at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII March 24th.  We went wild at our 10th Anniversary Bash, but if this is our swan song before heading south, we've got to go above and beyond. . .I know SOME of the cool items available for you to win, and they're worth the price of admission alone. . . love to see the fans reactions when they're name or raffle ticket number is called, especially when a kid wins some kind of rare autographed item and they're in awe. . .

Fans have also asked when some of the featured superstars may be announced. . . hard to say with so much conflict going on right now, but I'd guess sometime around mid-November or so the pieces of the puzzle should start to come together.  The original plan for the event had to be "blown up" after Cena's low blow at the anniversary event, but it is going to be a good one, no doubt about it. . .

OCTOBER 1ST - by Dan Mirade
Wow, it's October already??

Restless nights sleep, back flaring.  Why fight it??  I'm awake.  Opened an email from Save The Children, a group I've never donated to nor has the MWF.  They're hustling four of the world's ugliest Christmas ornaments for $70, a goat for $100 and a cow for $200.  WWE Hall of Famer Drew Carey is quoted as saying "the simple act of buying a goat has a remarkable impact on families and communities around the world.  I'll use the Save the Children gift catalog this holiday season and encourage my family, friends and you to do the same."  What is the shipping charge for the goat??  How is the goat going to have a remarkable impact on families around the world??  Is it a magic goat??

Was really looking forward to the baseball playoffs with the drama going on in my real life, and yesterday was the Terry Francona circus, which likely took some attention away from the Rays-Rangers opener.  As a die hard Sox fan, I'm really disappointed unless Francona 100% did not want to return to the team.  September's failure was epic, the first two weeks of the season were rough, other than that they were the best team in baseball. . . maybe he was just tired of it, having nitwits like Heidi Watney shoving cameras in his face as soon as he got to his office every night.  The last night of the season was a rough one to watch, but I'd like to see someone on the roster other than Francona say "I'm responsible, too" and then see them come back and put up big numbers next year. . . .

Oh yeah, this is a wrestling column. . . .don't let me start writing at 7:30AM or so. . .

So we're talking SSVIII, my favorite event of the year, the one Sleaze-na says is the final card in Boston.  Tomorrow at MWF Studios, I'll have a chance to actually re-watch the video, as I can only remember bits and pieces of his announcement. . .it hit hard.  It's probably going to be a month from now for our regular MWF Superfans and Thanksgiving time for all fans to be able to purchase VIP Packages and event tickets to the big one. . . .it's going to be an exciting, memorable, sad day as winter turns to spring March 24th at Memorial Hall. . .

To say I'm stoked about finally being able to get my hand on "Stalker" Dylan Kage in an "Unsanctioned Street Fight" is an understatement. . . .I've woken up in hot sweats at night thinking of vicious ways to repay him and that slob Paul Bearer for setting up a car accident that almost killed myself, Commissioner Von Johnson and The Iron Sheik in August 2005. . .his mocking my real life, his little Christmas and other YouTube videos. . . .filled with not just hate, but rage. . .

My intent had been to start to "train" this week. . . .with the body I have to work with, that leaves me with very few options.  Walking sounded like a good start.  As my doctors assistant always says to perk me up when I get pissed "you're limited as far as what you can do for exercise" when I get weighed, I was happy to see a big 276 on the scale after hitting 287 last time I was in the office.  Weight, always an enemy, peaking at 303 way back in October 1999, as low as the 230's in March 2004.  Then Tuesday afternoon, I bent over to try to adjust a computer modem, and I locked up. . .my back with two torn, leaking, dead, black discs gave out on me, thanks to those miserable SOB's I hate more than Dylan Kage at Liberty Mutual. . .not that I'd ever physically harm the scum, but if I ever read in the paper that they had passed on, I'd like to use their final rest place as a highway urinal.  After it taking almost an hour to find someone that actually knew where I lived to get me to the hospital, I was shot up with Dilaudid, which I was told causes a heroin-like reaction, along with an anti-inflammatory. . . still not feeling great, but I'm "unlocked" so to speak. . . .in my release papers, I was told not to bend or lift anything more than ten pounds until I get my back fixed. . . .great. . .Dylan Kage isn't exactly Brian Milonas, but my educated guess is that he's more than ten pounds. . .so now what to do I do??

It's going to be a long fall and winter. . . .

SEPTEMBER 25TH - by Dan Mirade
Good Sunday to you MWF fans, welcome to the SOUL SURVIVOR VIII:  Final Destination BLOG with news, notes and behind the scenes happenings for the big one Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at Memorial Hall in Melrose.  Seems like it's far off, but it creeps up on you (believe me).  Usually Sunday's are "Studio Sunday's", but MWF officials are meeting with staff members in regards to the company move to the great state of North Carolina in April.

As you can tell by taking a look to the left, there will be plenty of SSVIII info available to you as we get closer and closer to spring (can you believe summer is already over??).  Where I am going to have an active part in both putting the event together and the event itself thanks to that blowbag "consultant" John Cena Sr., this BLOG will have more than one contributer as time goes on (maybe Charlie Taylor and/or The Jackal).  I'm sure MWF Superfan Kenny Lockhart is going to have a lot to say on the Facebook Fanclub he put together.

The SOUL SURVIVOR History section should be online sooner than later so you can relive the first seven SS's.  The event page is going launch shortly as well.  Believe it or not, a great deal of work was put into this card long before MWF X (there will be some REALLY cool stuff headed your way to win - ask some of the fans that walked away big time at our 10th Anniversary Bash!).  With this event looking to be the finale in the northeast, some major changes have to be made.

The original plan was to have VIP Packages available right away, but we're now looking at an early pre-sale for those that have purchased in advance in the past, and a Thanksgiving time on-sale for all fans.  We will have VIP Packages, Floor Seats and General Admission tickets all available for pre-sale at this event.

If you attended MWF X last Saturday, would love feedback if you haven't already sent it in.  Feel free to shoot us an email.

The next few months are going to be quite a ride!  Don't miss a day on the Supersite, you never know what you might miss!  As far as tonight goes, Patriots, Red Sox double header against the Yankees, and the season finale of Bar Rescue (the best show on TV)!
