SEPTEMBER 27TH - by Dan Mirade
Wrestling fans, we close out another chapter to the history book that is the Millennium Wrestling Federation with the conclusion of the 11th anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Saturday night at the historic Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA. This evening, President Bearer amongst others were part of one of the largest meetings we've ever had with the MWF Board of Directors with some shockers coming out of it. . . I'm not quite sure what I think at this point. . . after that, several hours at MWF Studios where the door was left unlock for any athlete to join us. . . why some don't take advantage of certain opportunities is beyond me, but that's something I'll likely dive into (again) in my next Inside The MWF column. . .
So tired and overworked with no sleep in the days leading up to the event, didn't even realize that I posted an update September 17th. . . it was a shame fans missed out on the VIP Package. . . we generally post the cut off date for them several months in advance (March 5th for SOUL SURVIVOR IX, FYI). . . only thing I can think of is that some new fans may have caught advertising online, on television, etc. after the cutoff date. . . for that, I can only apologize. The fans that picked theirs up in April for only $40 got a legendary deal for a package that was worth over $250!! We're going to have news - this week - about SOUL SURVIVOR IX Saturday, March 9th, complete information will be available there for you to have plenty of time to get yours in plenty of time. They'd make a tremendous holiday gift. . . fans whose email addresses we have that were in Melrose Saturday will have a chance to pick up VIP's with a guaranteed front row seat (seats remaining) before they go onsale to all fans on Thanksgiving. We have regular meetings all the time, but one thing I've always pushed strongly for is that the fans that stick by us get first crack at everything. Are we perfect?? Absolutely not. Do we give it 110% effort?? Maybe 120%. . .
It almost feels the end of a political campaign. . . Saturday night we waited for the votes to come in. . .ever since the Prez and I worked out some past differences at the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion in Las Vegas this past April and worked to put a deal together for the debut of Big Daddy V Viscera while my flight to Vegas was delayed in Detroit, the focus was making the BBBB the strongest experience for fans and athletes humanly possible. . .the fans voted and in the end, we once again had more come out for our largest crowd in Melrose to date. It's great to see a pretty consistent increase. Would we love to see more or the building sold out. Sure. There are many reasons why it hasn't. . . I don't think our friends at WWE having a PPV six days before our event and a house show in Worcester the day after exactly helped, but the date had been locked up for over a year. If every fan continues to talk about the action, the excitement, being able to interact with the stars, even get one more person to go with them, things are going to continue to get better and better at "home". . .
I'm not quite sure of the number, but after 70+ events, I've never been more tired as I've been for this one. One night a week at the studio turning into two then three (including another eleven hours Monday after a weekend that wouldn't end). . . all of the announcements, the negotiating, the headaches & never ending stress. . . if we're going to do it, we want to do it right. . . period. . . while there's three or four quality organizations in the area the rest are garbage vanity projects that waste fans time, money and intelligence. . . their nonsense makes it harder for those that try to give the fans a solid product. . .
The days leading up to the event were non-stop. . . had a personal crisis to deal with, a friend running into a major issue getting married (on the 22nd, believe it or not), felt like I was living at MWF Studios. . .not enough hours in the day or days in the week. . . was studio bound for eleven hours on Thursday, worked like an animal on Friday before "MWF Maine" made their way to the Boston area. . . had an issue at CVS trying to pick up prescriptions as there was some kind of an issue as my never ending battle with the scum from "LM" continues. . . The Boogeyman arrived in Boston early, in the middle of this my birthday was remembered and I was treated to several "Boogeydrinks" (worm free) which were needed as much as I had work to do late into Friday night. . . instead, came home and went to sleep, up at about 6:15AM on less than five hours sleep once again. . . nice to get work done in the peace and quiet, but still, every time we get ahead, something pops up where it's like going two steps back. . . off to Memorial Hall at 11AM to start to unload, made another studio run, back to the Hall. . .the ring, seats, barricades, entrance way, lights, music, merchandise, raffles, auction materials, the ticket table, signage, etc., etc., etc. were all being set up. . . athletes coming in from CT and NY ran into traffic troubles, creating stressful line-up changes last minute when the host with the most Rich Palladino was ready to roll. . .the usual ridiculous phone calls with "what time do I have to be there??", "what's the address??", all information easily found right on the website. . . but as always, we made it happen even though we were missing a few pieces of the puzzle during ZERO TOLERANCE. There were some solid bouts and even more important, we provided several non-profit organizations and kids with a great afternoon of wrestling. . . while the afternoon card was taking place, the phone was going non-stop with talent arriving, making sure they were picked up, taken to the hotel, etc.
After the event, had to clear out the venue and start to set-up for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH. . . for this event, VIP Packages and Floor seats were reserved for those that purchased in advanced computerized. . . a little different and it will be tweaked a bit for SS9, but we felt it was only fair to give the fans that purchased first the closest seats. . . The Boogeyman was already in Melrose after making a special appearance that afternoon. . . Paul Bearer, Al Snow, Ron Simmons and Teddy Long landed at 1:45PM (imagine that flight!), Big Daddy V shortly after 3PM and Little Guido arrived by car. . . the nice weather on the first day of fall helped the cause. . . one of the worlds worst feelings is when a featured superstar cannot make it as agreed upon and advertised. . . we've never wanted to cling to "card subject to change" and work as hard as humanly possible to make substitutions equal to if not better than who was originally booked. . . more stress, more work, but only fair. . .
Commissioner Von Johnson was a little late in letting people in. . . but the fanfest went off without a hitch, fans got to meet their favorite stars. . . we had a couple of bonus matches at 6PM for the fans that were done getting their autographs or chose not to take part in it. . . 6:30PM, it was time for the big one and while I haven't seen it, all I heard was really positive things from fans, athletes and event staff. . .
Had an issue that got me hot - really hot - as far as the event staff not having general admission fans sitting in the right place. . . there's event staff that may be good people but will not be invited back again. . . sometimes there are tough decisions to make, but they need to be made. . . not being able to execute one simple task says it all. . . myself, Chairman Manolian, the Prez and others are still trying to sort through this one. . .
There were twists and turns all day and night long, MWF television this fall is going to be white hot. . . that's the part of the job I truly enjoy, working with the video production people to put together exciting video. . . intermission was a lot more fun than usual with the in-ring photo opps. . .had an issue where our featured-four got together instead of separately. . .the charity auctions and raffles were a big success. . .
Extremely proud of our roster and most of our event staff. . . very grateful to our fans. Had a couple of headaches in the back that may result in some not coming back as well, but it is what it is. . . had another organization who asked if they could pass out flyers at Memorial Hall, we declined as we have our own product to promote. . . instead they were in the parking lot in the dark doing it. . . I think that's pretty low and pathetic. . . spend the money to promote it the right way in the right places. . . run some TV commercials, don't leach off of someone else's work. . .
It would have been nice to chill out a little on Sunday. . . no rest here in the Millennium Wrestling Federation as we had a full blown MWF Board meeting where lots of ideas and opinions were shared. . . recapping an event less than 12 hours old, thoughts for this fall, updates on MWF South, SS9 and a variety of other topics for your viewing pleasure. . . after that, Mr. Bearer and myself taped the October Superstar Zone and put our minds together for a few video projects. . .
Tuesday and Wednesday. . . days off?? Ha!! Started writing this BLOG amongst other things, but it was time to play catch up and chew the fat with wrestlers and event crew for their experiences. . . amazing what you can learn from someone else's eyes. . . and today, as I write the final chapter of the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH and get ready for our next adventure, preparing for another eleven hour day at MWF Studios. . .
When looking back at the six months of my life since Paul Bearer ran that scumbag John Cena Sr. out of the MWF at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII in March, what a roller coaster. . . your annual Las Vegas getaway for the Cauliflower Alley Club, the MWF's South Carolina debut event, the heated argument I had with John Cena Sr. at a WWE event in Lowell, the attitude changes in MWF TV Champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury & Julian Starr, Frankie Arion starting to make a name for himself in the MWF, the hard work and kindness given to Kamala only to have him spit on it in his deranged mind, the Arrigo confab in Berwick, ME, Sonny Yee 2000 being deported, Todd Hanson & Demon Ortiz' lengthy rehabs, having what we thought was a featured superstar drag us along for six weeks only to bow out - but - it's what led to current WWE superstar Teddy Long appearing, Zema Ion winning the TNA X-Division Championship and having to cancel his appearance for non-televised events which led to the return of MWF original Little Guido and The Boogeyman returning, Zema telling us he wasn't booked on the TNA house shows but at that point we didn't have room for him, memorable episodes of MWF television. . . in my real life, two hospitalizations due to my on-going battle with CRPS. . . attending "little Mirade's" step-brother's birthday party a few weeks ago well into the night with him asking why I had to leave his early in July (took place on a "studio Sunday"). . .that line and feeling will stay with me for awhile, especially when you have talent and even the rare fan that doesn't appreciate what we try to do for them and bitch about next to nothing. . . they don't understand the sacrifices we make to do it right. One of my proudest moments was having the little guy help me with some of the charity auctions & raffles before getting an in-ring photo with Boogeyman (his new buddy that brought him an action figure), Big Daddy V, Ron Simmons & Teddy Long. . .I'm glad he was able to see what we do beyond having wrestling events when it comes to our charity work, and I can guarantee I will never leave time I spend with him for ungrateful human beings (even if they're in the minority). . .
And what's to come in the final three months of the year?? More tremendous MWF television, more on hands involvement with President Bearer, a giant holiday special around Thanksgiving, a big Christmas special as well as New Years, surprises (even for us) you'll hear about, behind the scenes battles that will be saved for the book, a roster and staff shake up with lots of comings and goings, which will be very interesting especially after Commissioner Von Johnson getting the ax after eleven years not even 24 hours after the conclusion of the Bash. . .
Time to start the SOUL SURVIVOR IX BLOG. . .

We're how many days away from the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH?? Stress headache city!! Wanted to touch base and add to the BLOG as we count down the hours at this point. . . Don't forget - the cutoff for our VIP Packages and pre-sale online discounts is tomorrow night, September 18th at 11:59PM. Remaining BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Floor Seats and General Admission tickets will be on-sale at Memorial Hall Saturday at their regular prices (cash only). ZERO TOLERANCE tickets are General Admission-only and will also be available at the Hall Saturday. . . Again, I have to suggest you check out the VIP Package. . . it gives you everything (and more) for one ridiculous price, savings of over 80%. Fans that took advantage of the early bird specials could have picked their's up for as little as $40. . .that should be illegal!! It amazes me that more people don't take us up on this great offer. . . as noted, even if you're planning on getting just an autograph or two, it more than pays for itself. . . just my opinion, but we could and should be charging a lot more for it than we do. I imagine the structure of the VIP Package is going to change going forward for future events. Compare it to anyone, anywhere, it is without a doubt the best value in professional wrestling. . .
If you had a busy summer, check out the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Countdown special that includes an exclusive Teddy Long interview available free on the event page. It covers the entire day from A-Z. . .
Beyond what's been announced, there are really going to be some great wrestling matches taking place Saturday on both events. . . when it gets down to it, beyond the fanfests, raffles, auctions, etc., it's the action inside the squared circle, and we look forward to bringing it to you at it's finest. . .
To avoid any confusion, the BBBB autograph prices do not include the item to be signed. If you don't have your own, you can purchase color photos for $1 from us. Considering most fanfests around the country charge $4 or $5 per photo on top of the autograph fee, that's a pretty good deal. . .
We will be adding to our charity auction & raffle merchandise this week. . . it looks like a wrestling Christmas collection. . . some serious goods up for grabs for great fans. . . like there isn't enough up for grabs already!!
The time for talking is done!! TV commercials and online ads running non-stop. . . packages mailed to a variety of local charities. . . posters up, handouts distributed. . . airline tickets purchased, hotel rooms booked. . . now it's up the great fans to make it happen. . . we've gotta pay the bills and need your support. Again, check out the VIP Package, if you can find a better value, I'd honestly be (very) anxious to see it. We're in this together, the MWF will provide you with what you show us you're willing to support. . . help the cause by purchasing your tickets in advance, tell your friends and fellow fans about it, put the link up on Facebook, Twitter, etc. There's something on this event for EVERY wrestling fan. . . let's do it!!

SEPTEMBER 11TH - by Dan Mirade
Greetings wrestling fans. . . not the most pleasant of days with Jerry Lawler's apparent heart attack last night and the 11th anniversary of 9/11. Two people I was very close to worked at Logan Airport back then and was pretty nervous until I made contact with them, and thoughts of other people I came across regularly at other various airports came to mind. . .
Our best go out to "King" Jerry Lawler after his episode during Raw last night. Jerry was originally scheduled to be part of our debut event September 28th, 2001 before a situation popped up as he was in the middle of a divorce with Stacy "The Kat" Carter. . . September 2001 was certainly a memorable month. . .
Loooong days / nights at MWF Studios four out of the last six days, lots of fresh content produced. Both of our September TV programs online now, including interviews with both MWF TV Champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury & Al Snow on their main event war September 22nd, Jay Freddie on his battle with Slyck Wagner Brown, Big Daddy V responds to "East Coast Cowboy" DJ Dubay and Ron Simmons talks about his MWF debut. Two great events, check 'em out. . . The September 10th MWF Newsline video is one loaded with updates and news. There are so many exciting elements to September 22nd, this video tries to break it all down for you within the short time frame we had to work with. . . The Big Daddy V Viscera - "East Coast Cowboy" DJ Dubay match is going to be an interesting one. . . Dubay's mouth has gotten him into a world of trouble over the last year-plus. Of all the people to target, why a 6'9" 450lb. man?? If he's going to get the big man down, he's going to need his cowbell and a baseball bat. . . The Frankie Arion / Little Guido challenge match is one I'm really looking forward to. Arion has looked fantastic since debuting at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII and like any athlete in the Millennium Wrestling Federation would like to move up the championship contention ranks. Guido was with us at Day #1 in 2001 and competed in the MWF until he signed with WWE. As stated in our recent interview, he's returning with one thing in mind - championship gold. I expect both athletes to be ready to go once the bell rings. . .
Next eleven days are going to be a challenge for yours truly. . . as I sit here writing just north of 1:30PM, can barely keep my eyes open. . .sleep patterns all over the place. . . a physically tough, hospital and medication filled summer. . . as much as I'm looking forward to September 22nd and an event for our roster on the 23rd, I'm worn the hell out. I hope both the fans and the President are very happy with the final outcome as I've put every ounce of energy I've had into it. . . it takes someone a few french fries short of a Happy Meal to be laying in bed in the hospital with an IV hooked up to them doing wrestling event work, but that's the work ethic instilled in me. . .we could do this the easy way or the right way. . .the "easy way" is the garbage that's destroyed the hard work of many. . .the "right way" is a never ending, difficult process. . .
Fans, just like with an election, we need your vote. . .if you want to have more and more of these high quality, interactive events filled with memories that will last a lifetime, a true wrestling fan experience, "vote" by purchasing your VIP Packages and tickets. . . compare our VIP Package to anything out there, we are the best value in professional wrestling. . . WWE's too big to do what we do. . . TNA's VIP Package gives you access to undercard guys, they charge you more for backstage passes and having to buy more merchandise to meet the main eventers. . .no other regional promotion can do it. . . we do it!! Not trying to brag or pat ourselves on the back, just trying to push the point home at how hard we work and how much we give you for an overwhelmingly fair price. . .
Tons on the "To-Do" list, busy night ahead. . .can barely keep my eyes open, probably need a nap but the clock isn't on my side. . .

SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
We've dealt with a lot of strange situations in the Millennium Wrestling Federation over the years, but it all my years, have never had one of our athletes be deported from the country. Well, another first for our 11th anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH, as the slated "Demon" Luis Ortiz -vs- Sonny Yee 2000 of the Uprising grudge match is off as Yee has been thrown out of the United States and sent back to Japan!! With "Million Dollar Investment" Tommaso Ciampa facing possible knee surgery, the Uprising is in trouble right now fans as Slyck Wagner Brown is about it. . . he's going to feel like a man without a country when he faces Jay Freddie. . . BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH VIP Packages continue to fly. Heard from fans that are really excited about the free raffle we have for VIP's. . .we care and we try to give back to those that help us. We have a bunch of autographed Kofi Kingston WWE promo photos for our VIP's along with the rare 2007 WWE Armageddon PPV chair. That's not even including our growing list of charity auctions and raffles, the merchandise alone is reason enough to be there!! Best value in professional wrestling. . .the raffle prizes are worth more than the cost of the VIP Package itself!!
It's getting crazy with just 18 days to go. Spent the weekend doing grunt work with the venue to make the day-of experience for our growing staff easier. More work at the MWF Studio, which is turning into a second home for me I've been there so much. . . I prefer to work from home but I've all but taken over a desk and computer. . .
Online VIP Package and ticket ordering ends in just two weeks - seems like it's plenty of time, but it creeps up on you. It seems like yesterday that the event was a couple months away instead of a couple weeks. The sooner you order our VIP Package, the better the reserved seat you get. Also have great discounts on regular tickets to both the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH and ZERO TOLERANCE. I expect ZT to really thrill fans on hand, some solid, big time matches are being signed as we speak. . . all in all, this day will be the true professional wrestling fans dream come true. So many people have worked so hard for it to become a reality. . .
Don't forget that for the first time we're going to be offering "In-Ring Photo Opps" with Teddy Long, Big Daddy V, The Boogeyman & Ron Simmons during intermission. While we conduct our charity auctions, 25 fans will have a chance to get their photos taken with one, two, three or all of the stars. We're selling advanced tickets to this where it's so limited as we will not go past 25 per person due to time constraints. How cool will it be to get in the ring and pose for a photo with your favorite superstar?? I hope it works out great and it's another feature fans can look forward to at our live events. . .
Look for more video content as the week goes on, lots of superstars have things they want to get off their chest. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife!! The superstars and legends of yesterday, today and tomorrow are ready to do their thing September 22nd at Memorial Hall in Melrose - be there LIVE!!

SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
The never ending adventure that is our 11th anniversary experience continues fans. . .thank you for coming along for the ride. . .
In just three short weeks, months of hard work explodes into Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA. You know who the featured superstars are, and what seven outstanding, unique talents they are. Two exciting, action packed live events. The BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH is going to be a celebration for the ages as President Bearer welcomes in a new era of professional wrestling. ZERO TOLERANCE is going to be a very interesting event to watch, as beyond a special appearance by The Boogeyman, you have a roster of hungry, young athletes looking to make a major impact on the new president. I look forward to some exciting bouts that afternoon. . .
Our autograph / photo fanfests are always fun and create memories that last a lifetime for fans, they really do. I personally enjoy hearing stories after the event about how much fun this fan had, or a reaction another fan had with a certain wrestler. That's what we do. It's not a "wrestling show," it's an experience. Hey, I could be wrong, but I don't know of anything else like it out there. I see fanfests - I see wrestling events with meet & greets, but not this unique combination of both wrapped up inside the auspices of Keeping The Kids Off The Streets and the non-profit organizations we do. In the peace and quiet of a holiday weekend Saturday morning, I can honestly say I love what we do. Oh boy, that opinion can change in 15 minutes with a text message or a phone call, but beyond the stress, the never ending work, the missed holidays and so on, I love what we do. . .
An "add on" to the fanfest experience is that during intermission, Teddy Long, Big Daddy V, The Boogeyman and Ron Simmons will be available for posed photos inside the ring!! To keep things moving along, while we do our charity auctions, all four superstars will be available for a limited amount of 25 in-ring photo opps each (with your own camera). In-ring photo opps are already selling, if you know this is something you want to take part in with one, two, three or all of the superstars, get your tickets now to lock yourself in. Once we hit that magic number, unfortunately it's over. How cool is it to be able to actually get inside a wrestling ring and pose with a star known around the world??
The past few days have been "MerchandiseMania" as we announced just some of the must-win prizes up for grabs in our charity auctions and raffles during the BBBB in the August 30th Newsline video - and there's a LOT more to come!! We have more for the free VIP exclusive raffle. We're going to have different gear you can win during ZERO TOLERANCE. While it would be impossible, we'd love to have every fan win something. . . when you see the looks on kids faces when they win one of the big raffle prizes, it's a great feeling. . . I can't stress enough how much you should get the VIP Package. Fans, it is, without a doubt, the best value in professional wrestling - it's so good we even created a page going into great detail everything you get!! We always have fans emailing us after the cutoff date or wanting to buy one at the door. I know it's going to come up once again, but as it's been stated since March - for six months - the last day you can purchase a VIP Package is online thru Tuesday, September 18th. No exceptions. They've been on-sale for months, take advantage of it NOW!! It all begins and ends with you. . .
It's going to be another busy weekend here in the Millennium Wrestling Federation (holiday's, ha!). Still working away on more matches, more merchandise. . . even after the events are over September 22nd, we have a full day on the 23rd and more production work on the 24th. . . my target date for a little peace & quiet = Tuesday, September 25th. . . and then it's time to get working on other projects we'll be talking about shortly. . .

AUGUST 26TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Apologize for lack of BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH BLOG's, especially with both the BBBB & ZERO TOLERANCE getting so close. If you're not a "friend" or a "follower" on my Facebook or Twitter (come on, give a guy an ego), I was hospitalized at Mass General Hospital in Boston this week. That caused everything to get backed up, etc., etc., and live event BLOG's unfortunately haven't been meant to be. . .
Having a CRPS foot attack (now visiting my right knee) now is about the worst possible thing that could happen. I almost wasn't able to go to SOUL SURVIVOR VI as a result of the same thing. . . it's absolutely disabling, draining both physically and mentally with pain that does not stop throbbing through you for a single second. I'm not a bad ass wrestler getting ready for a big match, but my role in the event is an important one. The diladud medication I'm on is stiff, today alone, I slept until after 12PM, then slept off and on during the Red Sox pre-game show until 10PM or so. . . when you have so much to do, it's beyond frustrating. . . to think that four weeks from this very moment the event will be in the past and a post event gathering will begin is amazing. . .
September 22nd is going to be an interesting night for some athletes to step it up. . . some could be ex-MWF athletes by the end of the weekend. . . hunger, attitude, athleticism, guys that step up verbally and physically and say "I want it". . . if we see actions that say otherwise, there's a lot of wrestlers that would like to compete here we don't have room for. . . would hate to lose anyone, but we don't control human minds. . .
MWF Newsline updates are on the front page of the site and updated a couple of times a week for the latest news, and it's going to be coming fast & furious this week. . . . tickets are on-sale for both events. . . it's been said many times, many ways, VIP Packages are the best value in professional wrestling. . . discounted admission for both tickets remain. . . it's really up to the fans. . .the more fans that buy tickets September 22nd, the more events of this type we'll produce for you. . . while we absolutely appreciate each and every fan that takes their time and hard earned money to come out to the events, we need enough to cover every bill. . . when I'm laying in a hospital ER with an IV in me going through MWF notebooks, I know I'm certainly doing my part. . .

AUGUST 17TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
36 days to go. . . really, less than that, as we usually set up Memorial Hall starting mid-week and our first superstars start arriving five weeks from tonight. . . it's an odd cocktail of excitement and stress rolled up into a giant knot in your stomach. . . the amount of things you have to hold off in advance all of a sudden become "must do's". . . a thousand ideas for video projects with only so many days and hours at the studio left. As exciting of an experience it can be for the fans now that announcements are going to be coming left and right, it's one hell of a frustrating one for us until the last match takes place September 22nd. Even then, on September 23rd we're having a very important afternoon for our hungry, young athletes and President Bearer. I'll play the role of Kamala for a minute and cry out "Poor Me," as my CRPS returned for a major grudge match with my right foot this morning after a couple of semi-normal days, and Post Concussion Syndrome does a number on you once you reach a certain level of stress and anxiety. You can take extra valium to ease your nerves, then you fight heavy eyelids while trying to be as productive as humanly possible. Thank the wrestling God's we have a great team put into place to execute the events on the 22nd like never before. . .
The individual hinted about in my last BLOG entry on August 12th was obviously The Boogeyman. Really excited to have him return not only at the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH, but, he'll be making a special appearance at ZERO TOLERANCE that afternoon. As crazy as he is, he's an individual that cares and wants to be part of our mission, which is Keeping The Kids Off The Streets and creating smiles for those from the various non-profits we work with. He bent over backwards (and then some) to make his return happen because honestly, until I got his text message last Thursday afternoon, there were zero plans for it, we had our "big six" locked in and were ready to roll. You never know what to expect in this great sport, to say the least. . . Last night was one of some big announcements for the BBBB. After they brawled all over the building out of nowhere on the July MWF Cyberstarz TV program, in the main event, "Straight Edge" Brian Fury will defend the Millennium Wrestling Federation Television Championship against Al Snow one-on-one, this time inside the squared circle. We still don't have any answers as to what happened in the locker room that led to these two coming out in street clothes and fighting throughout the building. . .there's obviously bad blood there as both athletes were very anxious to sign their names on the dotted line. . . this is one worth watching fans. . . Also, MWF President Paul Bearer and that scumbag "Stalker" Dylan Kage will address the future of the Trifecta of Terror. Once Bearer ran that sleazebag John Cena Sr. out of the MWF and saved the company in the northeast back at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII, he was forced to give up his managers license June 30th (however, it is still valid in MWF South). Bearer has been Kage's "guiding light" since the two joined forces at SOUL SURVIVOR III when Kage retained the MWF Heavyweight Championship over Luis Ortiz, and in early 2011, they aligned themselves with Rick Fuller & "Executioner" Brian Milonas, who would go on to become MWF Tag Team Champions two months later. No matter what you think of them, this is a dangerous trio - but - what's going to happen to them without Bearer managing them?? Another interesting situation worth watching. . . Working on several more matches as we speak along with great merchandise we're going to be raffling and auctioning off. Don't forget that in addition to BBBB VIP Packages (the best value in professional wrestling) and event tickets, we also have an extremely limited amount of in-ring photo opp tickets with Teddy Long, Ron Simmons, Big Daddy V & The Boogeyman. We only have time to do 25 with each superstar. If you want to be locked in, in-ring photo opp tickets are on-sale now as well on the event page by clicking the link above. Finally, as our 11th anniversary summer rolls along, this SummerSlam Sunday night, we're going to have MWF "Really" Cares Day!! On July 15th, we wasted our time on a selfish, lying individual named James Harris (aka Kamala). Instead of being disgusted with being stabbed in the back after doing a good thing, we decided to take August 19th - which was going to be a night where we were going to raise even MORE money for Kamala! - and help out people that really deserve it. We're going to be auctioning off a WWE Extreme Rules 2012 PPV chair with 100% of the money raised (minus Paypal fees and shipping) going to the Special Olympics, who named us Special Olympic Partners in 2011 and 2012. We'll also be auctioning off a WWE Over The Limit 2012 PPV chair with 100% of the money raise (minus Paypal fees and shipping) going to our friends at the Cauliflower Alley Club. The CAC is a non-profit organization that helps the veterans of this great sport with medical bills, life expenses, sadly, even funerals and after life expenses. To entice your generosity, we're going to air the first and only Daniel Bryan -vs- "Million Dollar Investment" Tommaso Ciampa match that took place while Bryan was still WWE US Champion on the debut edition of MWF Cyberstarz. We'll have some fun, some great action all to help two worthy causes, not a pathetic, pity seeking individual sitting in front of loincloths. Join us Sunday night on the front page of BOSTONWRESTLING.COM!

AUGUST 12TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Probably not the best of times to be writing a BLOG, but when the history books are written, I think raw, honest thoughts are the best and most interesting ones. With yesterday making it six weeks until the big event(s), we're in the home stretch. Six weeks from today the hungry, young athletes on our roster will have a chance to enhance themselves in the king of sports, learn and make a positive impression on President Bearer. . . what they do with that opportunity, God only knows. . . to some, Sunday is time to spend with their girlfriends instead of applying it to something that could be useful in making professional wrestling their full time occupation. . . but what do I know, I've only been doing this for almost 19 years. . .
Some days hit you a lot harder than others. There's always someone that has it worse, but yesterday was a mental kick below the belt. . . over the past five or six weeks, I was dedicated to trying to help Kamala, battling a horrible bout of CRPS in my feet that still hasn't gone away, then had to fight off Kamala's BS YouTube video where he cost himself the chance of getting himself a new right leg because he's a complete and utter imbecile. . . not even a "thank you" from a guy sitting around crying "Poor Me" everyday. . . it burns me the more I think about it because even though as a human being, it was a good thing to try to help out a guy that needed it, but to be slapped in the face like that, then have him go on YouTube and 100% lie about it makes me REALLY want to share some of my thoughts about it. . . yesterday was even worse, a negative life changing day that might not really hit home until Tuesday night, concern, questions and worry will be running thru my head 24/7 for another 48+ hours at the world's worst possible time. . . all I wanna do is lay in bed and sleep, but we've got seven hours of MWF production work tonight brotha. . . oh, Linda Mirade, how I wish you were here to calm me down sometimes. . .
Today is "D-Day" when it comes to adding a 7th, final (we think) featured superstar. Here's what happened. When TNA informed us that they needed Zema Ion on their live events to defend the X-Division title the night of the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH, I was looking high, looking low for someone to replace him within the ballpark of our budget for Zema. The "mystery man" and I were texting about something that had nothing to do with wrestling, eventually September 22nd came up as I was as frustrated as hell, he said "talk to me." This superstar did not fit into the budget with a guaranteed salary. While I was waiting for another bottle of pills to be refilled at the pharmacy I came up with an idea, said I needed to put pen to paper and would get back to him that afternoon. . . Came up with an extremely creative offer that put us a little over our budget but with a really good chance for it working out in a positive way. It was structured almost WWE style as opposed to regional wrestling style (i.e. in WWE, athletes are guaranteed a certain amount, then paid more based upon how an event draws, etc.; in regional wrestling, WWE known superstars command a flat fee no matter what the event draws, which hurts regional wrestling and ultimately winds up giving them less bookings, but that's a long, different story for a different time). Where I had my nine month dance in WWE, I have a fairly good idea of how it's put together and made what I thought was a fair deal based upon how WWE does things. Didn't hear back from him for a couple of days, figured he wouldn't go for it. . . I was excited to bring Little Guido into the mix, and all was well in the world of the MWF. . .
Then my cell phone went off Thursday afternoon, that stories my little iPhone could tell. . . the person in question accepted it!! I couldn't believe it, but we were also stuck between a rock and a hard place as the event was completely booked out. Reached out to the inner circle for their thoughts. . . it was a rare instance where absolutely no one was against it when they learned how the agreement is formatted, but at the same time a couple of people were, much like myself, not completely sure what the best way to go was. . . so I came up with the idea of letting the fans be the promoter. . .
For the first time ever, we're letting the fans dictate what we're going to do. We're already giving fans, by far, the best value in professional wrestling with our VIP Packages. . . the price is ridiculous, it should cost a hell of a lot more, but, we've always wanted our events and superstar interactions to be something that young fans / families can take advantage of. When I look around at fanfests (that don't even have a wrestling event) charging $150-$250 for a ticket, that eliminates a large portion of the market in a day and age when wrestling is heavily promoted to a younger audience. There's no doubt in my mind the VIP Package should be priced at close to $100 with what fans get, but, we really don't want to go there. . . some choices are never easy. . .
Even though most fans get their tickets within the last two weeks of the event - and we're six weeks away - it's a situation where we need to know now. We have to finalize everything with this star, book airfare, hotel, etc. We can't do that the week of the event. So if the fans want more, they can have more, they just have to help the cause. Anyone can take a few seconds to post the event link on Facebook and Twitter, send an email to their friends, etc.
Almost feels like the baseball trading deadline. . ."will the deal get done??" It will be interesting to see what news I walk into at MWF Studios tonight. . . I hope it's positive, as I think it will make a lot of fans happy and add to the event. . .

AUGUST 6TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
Challenging night at MWF Studios as my CRPS attack is going on four weeks. . . once again had to have someone at the studio wheel my around the building in an office chair as if I was in a wheelchair. The pain will not stop, very likely hospital bound this week as my tickets to tomorrow nights Red Sox -vs- Rangers game look to go to waste. MWF Chairman Neil Manolian was a monster help to me at the studio last night as we tried to outline the September 22nd afternoon ZERO TOLERANCE event in Melrose. With this bonus opportunity, I want to see what athletes are going to step it up, give it 110% instead of 100%. We believe in everyone our roster, but on September 22nd, especially with President Bearer there and him bringing in Teddy Long to help evaluate talent, we want to see HUNGER. We want to see who wants it BAD. As the pain continued to overtake my body, had a call from an old friend just before 3AM. . . I was up so it was great to hear from him. Traveling night owls in the world of wrestling can get bored sometimes I guess. . .the "behind the scenes" stories. . . Very excited to welcome back Little Guido / Nunzio into the fold here in the Millennium Wrestling Federation September 22nd for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH, and the feeling is mutual. Despite some of his in-ring antics, I held Guido in the highest regards as a professional during his first tour of duty in the MWF in 2001 where he had battles with Road Dogg, Grandmaster Sexay and Nova of ECW fame. He won't have old ECW alumni Chris Chetti with him this go-around, it will be very interesting to see what Guido has in store for the fans as well as the hungry, young athletes in our locker room. . .
His resume' speaks for itself. He was an ECW original, competing there from 1992-2001 and held the ECW Tag Team Titles twice. Following competing in the MWF, he was in WWE from 2002-2008 before returning as a referee from 2010-2011. He also had a run in TNA in 2010 as part of EV 2.0 for the Hardcore Justice PPV, which led to him being a part of the TNA inspired Ra Ka King promotion in India earlier this year. He's seen it all, done it all, and with his background as a shooter, if he gets you in the right hold, he's a dangerous man. Should be exciting. . .
Yet another return as everyone wants to know who will be making their big return Thanksgiving weekend!!

AUGUST 5TH, 2012 - by Dan Mirade
As always, there's as much action and adventure going on behind the scenes in the Millennium Wrestling Federation as there is in the ring and on our television programs.
If you've been on our social media platforms, you learned that TNA needs their X-Division Champion Zema Ion to defend the title the weekend of the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Saturday, September 22nd in Melrose, MA. Due to the nature of his contract with TNA, it overrides non-TNA events. We're very disappointed that Ion will not be there as we feel he could have some outstanding matches with several hungry, young athletes on our roster. I will say that, taking away from some of his in-ring antics, that Zema could not have been more professional in the way he handled things, and as a result we might have a great surprise for our MWF Superfans that have purchased tickets by the end of the weekend. . .
So the question is - who is replacing Zema?? Are we going to leave you hanging?? We could, as it always says "card subject to change," etc., etc. But we love you guys. It's frustrating that we don't have more of you at some events, but we don't exist if it isn't for you. In my own personal opinion, I believe the superstar replacing Zema is an upgrade as he's held championships for major league promotions in the past. Unless you're a die hard TNA X-Division fan, I think you'll be pretty happy later on when we announce it. . .
Don't forget about the great opportunity we're offering for MWF ZERO TOLERANCE, the afternoon of the BBBB. The hungry, young athletes are going to be going out there like animals at 110% to get the President's attention as well as rock Memorial Hall for the fans. We have an internet pre-sale going on right now where you can get tickets for as little as $5!! ZERO TOLERANCE is an event primarily for our young fans from several of the charities we work with to enjoy, but where Memorial Hall is charging us extra rent and forcing us to spend even more money on an extra police detail, we're letting all fans in to help cover the bills!! Check out the event page for complete details, you won't want to miss this one. . . Are you checking us out daily on Facebook and Twitter?? Are you sharing the information out there to fellow friends and fans, re-Tweeting it?? Let's get more fans involved in the MWF mission folks. . . the more fans that sample who we are and what we do are going to lead to more big events with more superstars for you to see and meet in more places. . . we need your help. . . the MWF army of fans are our6 best promotional tool. . .

JULY 31ST - by Dan Mirade
The build up to our 11th anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 22nd in Melrose, MA is heating up in ways we didn't even expect. How cool is it that WWE Superstar Teddy Long will be with us live in Melrose?? For the second time in two years we'll have an active WWE star with us. President Bearer is looking for an outside the box opinion on the athletes on our roster (I guess mine is too inside) and with Long's experience, he feels he's the man for the job. For the fans, it's an awesome chance to meet a superstar right off of television, get an autograph and a photo, who knows what's going to happen with Teddy?? It will be interesting to find out and yet another reason why you should get our discounted VIP Packages - the best value in professional wrestling - now!! There's a lot of "wrestling shows" throughout New England. . . you can pay $10 to go see what looks like a middle school talent show with 130 pound athletes. . . few feature true professional wrestling. . . next to none will give you the ultimate value the Millennium Wrestling Federation gives you. Don't settle for cheap imitations, be where the superstars are live September 22nd!! Don't forget about MWF ZERO TOLERANCE, the afternoon of the BBBB!! We're going to have a special charity event for the great non-profits we work with, but, this time open up the doors to all of our fans as well. If you get a VIP Package, you receive admission to ZERO TOLERANCE absolutely FREE!! Not a bad deal at all!!
Sorry to hear that MWF Heavyweight Champion Low Ki will not be with us September 22nd. . . he has a medical procedure taken care of but it was unlikely to happen this go around due to his schedule in Japan. Much like a UFC event, the title isn't on the line at every event and that's the case here. Certainly wish Ki a speedy recovery and hope to see him this fall / winter. Had a chance to negotiate with someone else I'd love to have appear at an MWF live event, but the money figures were just way off. . . that's the problem we face at times. If we knew we were going to have 500 people in Melrose, it would be a different story, "but". . . it's why we always ask you continue to help the cause and spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, to tell your friends & family. . . let them experience the Millennium Wrestling Federation live. . . that's what's going to bring you more great action, more superstars, more interaction. . .
Some interesting matches are shaping up. . . some have been blown up (a long story we'll perhaps save for after the event). Is this the final list of featured superstars?? The phone is still ringing, emails, texts, even Facebook messages are rolling. Let's make it happen. . . get those tickets, let's blow the roof off of Memorial Hall and show all the people in Melrose that think the city is "above" professional wrestling events the great things we can do!!

JULY 22ND - by Dan Mirade
Have no fear our 11th anniversary summer is here, and we're now less than nine weeks away from the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Saturday, September 22nd at Memorial Hall in Melrose - a huge night for the fans and the superstars on the card as well. . .who's going to step it up and eliminate the "excuse" mind set from their vocabulary that weekend?? President Bearer and myself look forward to finding out. . .
Last weekend's anniversary summer kick-off was a blast. Fans in Pembroke, NC were treated to an action packed live event and made one thing clear - they want more!! Up our way, MWF CARES DAY was a unique night for pro wrestling. . . giving back isn't in many's thought processes, but am proud of our intent and execution. The sport gets an uncalled for black eye from many non-fans, it's time to change that trend. It's how we've operated for years, and with WWE now spearheading a similar movement, it's a great thing. . . .
Finalizing what may be our final featured superstar has turned into a challenge, and an interesting one at that. Still hot over being screwed over after six weeks of back and forth, but "that's wrestling" (where it's OK not to keep your word after six weeks of going back and forth). A truly unexpected development has come about over the past few days, hoping to get it finalized by the time I hit MWF Studios tonight, it not, this week. I don't want to wait much longer. . . as we have contracts to finalize for some of the featured matches that night. There are some that shoot themselves in the foot with their walking in cement type speed in response time. . . there's a lot of talent out their in 2012, why leave money on the table?? I'm not big on playing "chase" with people. . .
Will be headed to the post office this week sending out a couple of packages with VIP bonus items to be autographed and returned. . . quality stuff, I'm excited about it. . . you can never go wrong spending your time on making the fans happy. . .
Expect a busy week ahead at MWF Studios after having to cancel a date this pass week because of my on-going foot issues. I've always taken great pride in my work ethic and hated having to call out, but I couldn't get out of bed due to the CRPS in my foot. . . anyone with a brain wouldn't have been there last Sunday night, but I gave my word. . . wasn't a matter of "if," it was "how" the hell I was going to get through the night. . . not one of my finest nights but have never tried harder, I can guarantee you that. . .
And that's about where things stand right now. Have an offer on the table for an exciting superstar to appear. If fans show us they're willing to purchase their tickets in advance and support the event, we could possibly add more, but as noted, the Cena days of just spending money with no concern to the bottom line are over. . . whether it was part of his "inside job" or him believing the more he put into the event the bigger return we'd get is at your discretion. . . some unofficial great matches in the works. . . athlete's are going to have the opportunity to say "HERE I AM" and steal the show. . . that should be the goal of every athlete on the event. . . not have a good match but to have the best match. . . they'll have the platform to do it with. . . should be a very interesting couple of weeks and see what develops out of that. . .
Don't forget that VIP Packages and event tickets are on-sale now, along with those for ZERO TOLERANCE (admission to which is absolutely FREE to VIP's!!). Get yours and spread the word to your friends, family, etc. on Facebook, Twitter and all forms of social media. This is the best value in professional wrestling, from the in-ring action, the autograph / photo fanfest, the charity auction & raffles. . . there's something for everyone during this extravaganza, we want you to be there!!

JULY 12TH - by Dan Mirade
The "Big Bang Birthday BLOG" continues and what an adventure it is. . .
If you haven't visited other areas of the site, the official kick-off to our 11th anniversary summer is this weekend!! On Saturday, July 14th, we're back in our southern home of Pembroke, NC for MWF RED, WHITE & BRUISED live at the Pembroke, NC Middle School. MWF Southern Champion "War Hawk" Dylan Kage has been all over the ABC Network in the Carolina's in what's shaping up to be a night of all-star wrestling. Tickets start at just $10 and will be available at the door. . . The following day, this WWE Money In The Bank Sunday, July 15th, it's MWF CARES DAY 2012, wrestling's first online cyber-charity event as the Millennium Wrestling Federation attempts to raise money and awareness for Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics MA, Big Brothers, the Cauliflower Alley Club and John Layfield's Beyond Rugby Bermuda. Fans will be able to buy and bid on some outstanding rare, discounted and / or autographed items donated from our friends at WWE and from the MWF Warehouse. Click the link for the complete story, but once I learned the specifics of Kamala's current situation after having both of his legs amputated, trying to help him in this day was a "must." Since these BLOG's are for historical records as well as current news and notes, believe me, trying to include this into an already hectic fundraiser, nevermind September 22nd, was an extreme challenge that will continue during the week. But how do you turn your back on one of your own?? We won't. . . We make a pit-stop at the Arrigo BBQ confab in Berwick, ME Saturday, August 18th then all roads lead to Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA Saturday, September 22nd for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH!! Excitement was already in the air as we announced 2012 WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons / Faarooq, Big Daddy V / Viscera, MWF President Paul Bearer and now TNA X-Division Champion Zema Ion had already been announced. On July 4th, we learned that multi-time WWE Champion, Tough Enough coach, head of WWE developmental, now current TNA executive and Impact Wrestling Gut Check judge Al Snow will be returning for our b-day celebration. Unlike the fun loving albeit crazy Al we've seen, he's dead serious this go-around over a locker room issue from when he was with us for SOUL SURVIVOR VIII. I look forward to finding out exactly what (who??) has Al so fired up. That gives us five featured superstars that will be taking part in the pre-event autograph / photo fanfest and the event itself, we'll be including at least one more, and, if fans continue to purchase VIP Package and event tickets at a rapid rate, possibly more!! On America's birthday, we also announced that as a special bonus for VIP's and the non-profits we work with, we're going to have a hard hitting live event the afternoon of the BBBB, ZERO TOLERANCE. Unlike our efforts in March, this event will be open to all fans - if you're not a VIP or an invited guest, you can buy a discounted ticket to this card. It will not feature the superstars you'll see during the BBBB, but the hungry young athletes of the MWF are going to light up the ring for the first event under President Bearer's watch. . . it will be a day and night to remember!!
Frustration set it yesterday. . . should have seen it coming as I enjoyed a visit to Fenway Park for the Red Sox-Yankees battle (including a visit to the Bleacher Bar for the first time, which is really cool as the window is in CF). Since late May, I've been working with a wrestling "agent" on a particular superstar. . . not big on agents (no disrespect to the decent guys out there) as we've had some bad experiences with them and find it's easier to deal with the athletes directly as it's also more money in their pocket as they're not paying out a percentage to an "agent." Agreed to the terms, was looking to make the deal a little unique as we're certainly owed a favor by this individual. First the agent was on vacation, then the star in question had business outside of the US that wouldn't bring him back to the country until July 5th. Our plan all along was to announce EVERYTHING July 4th. Thought about it, talked about it, decided it would be great for the event, so we agreed to wait a few extra days. On Saturday, little information, continued to get input from a couple of veterans in the sport and major league offices. . . Saturday night, learned that this person was booked somewhere else September 22nd. To say I was pissed off doesn't even begin to describe what was running through my mind. I was 99% sure we had a deal over the past few weeks only to come home to that. It's not the end of the world, there's plenty of talent out there that would either like to return or debut in the MWF. . .just don't like to waste so much time only to have it turn into nothing because of middlemen. As "Hardcore" Jake Edmund once said, "I don't like middlemen."
Today was another busy day from start to finish. . . woke up in physical pain yet had to head into Boston for a lunch meeting. . . then rush home to make it to MWF Studios in preparation for MWF CARES DAY next Sunday. Have so much to do to make this a unique day to kick off our anniversary campaign it isn't even funny, but as usual, we'll find a way. . .
Don't forget, remaining VIP Packages and all event tickets to the BBBB and ZERO TOLERANCE are on-sale now. Lots of bonuses and perks are already listed with more coming your way. . . it's our birthday and you get the presents, pretty cool!!

JUNE 30TH - by Dan Mirade
I'm I out of the loop - when is the holiday weekend?? When you never have a day off a mid-week holiday really throws reality for the loop. . . .
Before we get into the news and scoops for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH, I wanted to mention the kick-off to our 11th anniversary summer. Two weeks from tonight, it's MWF RED, WHITE & BRUISED live from Pembroke, NC. The following day up north, it's MWF CARES DAY, wrestling's first online cyber-charity extravaganza. We've been promoting the fact that money raised is going to Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics, Big Brothers, the Cauliflower Alley Club and John Layfield's Beyond Rugby Bermuda. However, after speaking to my longtime friend "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala yesterday, we're also going to be having a special auction just for him. Click on the link above to read the entire article, but the past year has been brutal to him - he's had both of his legs amputated, leaving him unable to drive a truck which was his day job when not competing on regional wrestling events. And his wife was laid off last August. Tough story to hear, but in the Millennium Wrestling Federation, we care. . . so we're going to do something about it. . . yet another reason to join us on WWE Money In The Bank Sunday, July 15th. . . .
Onto the BBBB, Saturday, September 22nd at Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA - what's that leave us with, 12 weeks?? Believe me, time is going to fly!! As noted, remaining VIP Packages and event tickets will go on-sale this Wednesday, July 4th. I can tell you that I'm 99% certain that we're going to have another superstar announcement and 99% certain we're going to have a big time bonus for the great MWF Superfans that have already purchased VIP Packages. But there's more. . . someone I've been working on(very creatively) to return at the BBBB is away on business and will not be back until July 5th. . . after that, I'm told it will take a day or two max to finalize the deal. . . again, I'm almost positive that this is a "yes," but until I'm 110% certain, I will not announce it. Once all the pieces of the puzzle fit together, it will likely lead to a pretty cool theme. . . after that, we'll have matches, prizes, etc. announced weekly leading up to the big events. If fans show us continued support leading up to the BBBB, there's always a possibility that we could add more featured superstars, but it's all about the advanced ticket sales. . . the "Cena Days" are over as far as that goes fans. . .
Buckle up for a big week!!

Mega thanks go out to all of the MWF Superfans who made our special "pre-sale" pre-sale a monster success!! Remaining VIP Packages and event tickets go on-sale July 4th, look for announcements galore!! Couldn't be more happy after last night, exceeded expectations. . .

JUNE 22ND - by Dan Mirade
Lots going on, apologize for the lack of entries. . . wish there was a quicker way to post updates, but it is what it is. . .
IMPORTANT: the VIP Package sale we have for the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Saturday, September 22nd in Melrose is going to be extended until Sunday night, June 24th at 11:59PM. That's the absolute last chance to get the VIP Packages at a discounted price. . . the cutoff was supposed to be last night, but two weeks of natural disasters have created so much insanity it makes life a little easier for us to give our Superfans a couple of extra days and us to breath. Having to move, have my cell phone stolen and my bank account seized by Citizens Bank were unexpected. . . Were you around for WWE No Way Out Sunday last week?? Very excited that 2012 WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons / Faarooq will be making his Millennium Wrestling Federation debut at our 11th anniversary event, joining the already announced Big Daddy V Viscera, MWF President Paul Bearer and TNA superstar Zema Ion. More to come?? Absolutely, coming your way on America's birthday the 4th of July. . .
If you have a keen eye, you may have noticed we also added a $5 MWF Merchandise coupon to the VIP Package as yet another bonus / thank you to our great fans that help the cause by getting their tickets in advance. It's not valid for any autographs / posed photos / 8x10 photos / raffles / auctions - JUST our wide selection of merchandise tables September 22nd.
Don't forget that wrestling's first online cyber-charity event MWF CARES DAY takes place Sunday, July 15th right here on BOSTONWRESTLING.COM. It will as close to live as anything we've ever produced and is going to be a lot of fun as we kick off our 11th anniversary summer while raising money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Big Brothers, the Cauliflower Alley Club and John Layfield's Beyond Rugby Bermuda. As always, our friends at WWE went above and beyond to help us make this an extraordinary event. Christmas In July, anyone??
I'm personally working on two different projects for anniversary weekend that will be tremendous opportunities for both our roster and fans alike. . .I'm excited about it and believe both will happen, just waiting for the green light before announcements are made. . .
After John Cena Sleazena's "Inside Job" was exposed at SOUL SURVIVOR by Paul Bearer (who hasn't exactly come clean with what he knows), this event has to be structured different than most of our bigger events the past few years. While it cannot be "proven without a reasonable doubt," all logic shows that Cena Sr.'s intent was that, while giving fans the best in regional professional wrestling, he was trying to run what is now MWF North deep, deep into the red - and was quite successful in doing so. MWF South has been a monster success since Day 1 under a much more limited, controlled budget; I can honestly say their level of talent cannot compare to what we're doing but that's one mans opinion. So. . . .there's a lot on the table right now. . . there are another four or five superstars we've been in discussion with to return or debut, but we have to remain financially responsible. Would I like to be able to call President Bearer and talk about bringing all five stars in?? Absolutely. But we have to use common sense. The bottom line is we need more fans to purchase their tickets in advance so we know what kind of budget we have to work with. There are a zillion factors fans don't consider (and granted, they're really not for the fans to worry about), but between an expensive payroll, rent, insurance, ring rental, sound, light, television advertising, online advertising, police detail, printing, airfare, hotel and other things I'm likely forgetting half asleep, MWF live events are an expensive endeavor. Make no doubt about it, we absolutely love and appreciate our fans, you're the best. . . we just need more to deliver you what we feel is "the perfect event." You can help by spreading the word to friends, family, on social media, etc. If you've never attended an MWF live event, ask around. . . it's a GREAT feeling to see so many longtime fans have already locked in their front row seats September 22nd and they're in for more surprises than they know!! You are an extension of the Millennium Wrestling Federation family, and we say that from the bottom of our hearts - without you, there isn't an MWF. . .
Lengthy entry, but wanted to give you guys something of substance on what's gone on, what's going on and what can go on. . . new Inside The MWF column coming over the next day or two. . . be well and enjoy the weekend. . .

MAY 26TH - by Dan Mirade
The kick-off to the Millennium Wrestling Federation's 11th anniversary summer begins Sunday, July 15th for a ride that takes us to the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH Saturday, September 22nd at Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA. And what a ride it's going to be!!
July 15th is MWF CARES DAY 2012, not a live wrestling event, but an "almost" live online / social media extravaganza here on BOSTONWRESTLING.COM and our social media platforms, the first of it's kind where MWF Superfans all over the United States can participate in an effort to give back to the non-profits and causes we care so much about and to show those that look down upon the king of sports that it can do a lot of good for a lot of people in the right hands. The idea for this literally came out of nowhere, but once the idea popped into my head, myself, President Bearer, Chairman Manolian, the Board of Directors and others put our heads together to come up with a general concept then reached out to WWE to really create what we expect to be a positive, productive afternoon / evening. Where it takes place just a couple of days before "little Mirade's" 7th birthday, all of the good will generated by this event is dedicated to him. Even though it's Memorial Day weekend (yeah, we don't get holidays in the MWF where we work 365 days a year), we're busy putting together the final format and we should have plenty of details on it this week. You might call this our version of "Christmas In July". . . we've faced some tremendous challenges over the past year (and longer, in certain aspects), but we confront them head on and come out on top. . .MWF CARES DAY is a "thank you" to our great fans and does nothing but help those that need a helping hands in today's tough economy. . .
To all of our young fans out there, save your allowance, we've got some good stuff coming your way : )

MAY 21ST - by Dan Mirade
As promised, the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH just got bigger, as TNA superstar and X-Division sensation Zema Ion joins Big Daddy V Viscera and MWF President Paul Bearer as the third featured superstar at our 11th anniversary extravaganza Saturday, September 22nd in Melrose. Ion was scheduled to appear at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII but was needed last minute by TNA. I'm really excited to see him in action live as his unique style poses a challenge to whoever he challenges that night. . .
Have been communicating with President Bearer over the past few days over some very interesting possibilities. A mutual friend of ours is working on yet another superstar to make his MWF debut in addition to other agreements we're trying to put together. This part of putting the event together is very exciting. . .
Look for another big announcement WWE No Way Out Sunday, June 17th prior to the PPV. We're going to have a second discounted VIP Package sale thru that Thursday night to let you save even more on the best value in professional wrestling.
VIP Packages and all tickets are scheduled to go on-sale Wednesday, July 4th. . .

MAY 8TH - by Dan Mirade
MWF Superfans, thank you so much for getting our BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH effort off in a major way. . .I think everyone in MWF North was extremely surprised and happy at the response as it was another record grabber being four and a half months away. You have our commitment that we will work - everyday - around the clock to give you the best experience possible, from featured superstars, exciting in-ring matches, charity raffles & auctions, the fanfest, maybe even a surprise or two. . .the term "day off" does not exist here in Boston. Look for another announcement coming WWE Over The Limit Sunday, May 20th. . .
VIP Packages are not on-sale for the time being. When they are available for purchase again, it will not be for the price many of our fans locked themselves in at. Look for continuing news online and our social media accounts. . .

APRIL 30TH - by Dan Mirade
We promised you some news on our 11th anniversary extravaganza before WWE's Extreme Rules PPV tonight and boy did we deliver. Excited about the return of MWF President Paul Bearer as well as the debut of Big Daddy V Viscera. Both will take part in the pre-event autograph & photo session as well as be active during the event itself. It's already shaping up to be a great night. Having someone like big Vis on the card is unique; he's certainly not going to go out there and give you a Low Ki style match. But at 6'8", pushing 500 pounds, he's certainly an attraction and I think fans will be amazed and just how massive he is once they're able to meet him at Memorial Hall September 22nd. . . for those that come out and enjoy getting autographs, posed photos, etc., we're working on some fresh faces for you. . . for fans that get into the intense action in the ring, I don't think they'll be disappointed, either. . . One of our "main event" raffle items is the Randy Orton autographed WWE SummerSlam 2011 PPV plaque that includes a piece of the ring, one of only 500 in the world. A really cool piece for any wrestling fans collection. . . "eBay'd" it, the kid that won the Undertaker plaque at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII has a rare item that's been listed for up to $395. . . not bad for a $5 raffle ticket, eh?? Hope to add more cool stuff for you to win in the coming weeks, VIP's are in for another bonus. . .even though the way we're going about things is going to change with a new Prez on board, our goal is to still give you the best value in professional wrestling with the superstars and legends of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. . .
More scoops to come. . .this week!! We're going to be running a limited time VIP Package offer that you will not want to miss. . .

Fourth featured superstar confirmed??
In the midst of my pal Jon Taffer's Bar Rescue marathon on Spike TV, lots of e-discussion going on about changes to the roster and overall fan experience. I think fans are going to be excited about "coming home" to Melrose for our BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH September 22nd. . . hey, it's five months from today, let's get to work!!

APRIL 21ST - by Dan Mirade
Quick "hello" after my lengthy trip to Vegas that had an extra day added on at the beginning and another extra day tacked on at the end. . .can I really complain about that in Sin City??
En route to Vegas, confirmed a third featured superstar while, of all places, sitting in the airport in Detroit delayed for eight hours while talking to people on Facebook. This individual will be making his Millennium Wrestling Federation debut September 22nd and should be a unique one for the fans. . .I believe he'll be announced on WWE Extreme Rules Sunday. . .
President Bearer and I had a series of productive meeting as we're trying to find the best way to work together as a team. We talked of several returns which could lead to several departures based on dollars and cents, as when it comes to regional wrestling in 2012, every dollar absolutely counts where there are zero guarantees as far as how many fans are going to buy tickets. Not what everyone may want to hear, but it's reality. . .as I've stated for a long time, the business killed the business post-2000 IMO. . .

APRIL 8TH - by Dan Mirade
Happy Easter to our MWF Superfans that celebrate today. . .another kick below the belt from ol' Linda Mirade as far as ruining another holiday, but she that's become an area of speciality for her in recent times. . . I like to keep a log / BLOG, whatever you want to call it, to show the little men once they're older. . . hope the Easter Bunny was great to them, always loved to see those smiles as I was dragged out of bed half dead to see what Santa, the bunny, et al, would bring. . .
On a lighter note, confirmed our second "featured superstar" for the BBBB September 22nd. . .a lot of fresh, unique ideas being tossed around. . .I'm happy to lock this one in early as we continue to put the pieces of this large, complex puzzle together. . .
Working on some cool, free bonus items for fans with VIP Packages that I think you're really going to like. . . .
We're going to be testing out a new system at the BBBB. . . after an early match, we're going to announce the winners of the free VIP raffles at one time. . .we'll have someone draw the winners backstage, create a list, read it off, the prize is yours .. . if you're at your seat to collect it, awesome. . .if you're out of your seat, you lose but, of course, we'll let fans know beforehand that "after the second match" or whenever it will be is when we'll be doing the giveaway. We're not going to repeat our (great) giveaways from March 24th. . . I still believe some fans really went overboard disrespecting an effort to raise money for sick kids, dying kids, at risk kids, etc., but I got their point; as I was in mid-back spasm, I wasn't overjoyed to be out there for so long, but look at the good that we were able to do. . .when I look back at SS8, it won't be for how much my back hurt, it was how much good will the sport of professional wrestling put out there. Non-fans, most of the media laugh at what we love, but for those in this sport, those that love this sport, what we did TOGETHER was a great thing, something I'm very proud of. . . if you were involved (and especially if you won), I hope you are, too. . .
FYI, not sure when this BLOG will be updated again. . .as noted, excited about my early departure Tuesday to head to Las Vegas for the CAC reunion and some much needed and deserved R&R. . .am hoping to leave the computer at home and check email, etc. thru my cell phone. Will have tons of updates on my Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you're not a friend or following me, please feed my ego just a little bit and join along, it's going to be an extremely interesting trip for a lot of reasons. . .and that makes me : )

Busy morning so far, lots of work to do before we head off to Sin City Tuesday. . . we're 24 weeks away from our 11th Anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH event, but the time will fly like no tomorrow, believe me. . .
Spoke to an athlete anxious to compete in the Millennium Wrestling Federation, looks like we have our first featured superstar confirmed. . .
Have had a lot of conversation about a hard hitting match we want to present September 22nd. . . one of the two men involved is ready for this one, big time. . . the other side may look at it as a giant risk. . .
Current plan is after a couple of featured superstars are announced to have a special VIP Package price valid for one weekend only open to MWF Superfans that have pre-purchased tickets from us in the past as our way of saying "thank you". . .we went a little overboard on SOUL SURVIVOR VIII. . .
As a side note, I invite all of you to check out what's going on in Sin City for the CAC reunion and important MWF meetings that will be taking place beginning Tuesday when I make my great journey out west. . .will have plenty of quick updates on my Twitter. . .

No April Fool's jokes here fans, it's WrestleMania Sunday, a holiday for those that love this great sport. A big part of me wishes I was in Miami where so many friends are taking part in various events this weekend but my back is thrilled I'll be watching at home hopefully enjoying a little Kowloon. I went on a walk around Boston after our big meeting Friday night and the feet aren't feeling so great, either. If you missed it, President Bearer's office has released information on SOUL SURVIVOR IX already, check it out. Back to BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH biz. . Major invite to BBBB sent along to an MWF favorite of yesteryear that's never appeared in Melrose. . . would be thrilled to make it happen (almost happened at SOUL SURVIVOR VIII, but the wrestling God's created a schedule conflict). . .stay tuned on this one as we'll have some happy fans to meet this superstar live and in person. . .
And what about the giveaways for BBBB?? Oh boy, I know one of the Main Event raffle items already, and it's big time. . .if you're a WWE fan, you're going to want to stock up on the raffle tickets. . . we had so many big winners from our charity auctions and raffles at SS8, I really love seeing the fans reactions when they win, especially a kid. . .I don't know if we'll ever top what we had March 24th, but we're going to try!!

MARCH 31ST - by Dan Mirade
An interesting night all around for yours truly, but late tonight after returning to Mirade Hill, confirmed the BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH return of MWF veteran "Demon" Luis Ortiz September 22nd!! Ortiz injured at the hands of JBL's Uprising on the October Superstar Zone after turning down an offer to join the group. He still had the fortitude to compete in the "Drag Me To Hell" war with Abyss & Todd Hanson against Paul Bearer's Trifecta of Terror in November, but the damage was already done. Looking forward to Ortiz' return - the question is, who's he going to target first??

Another great journey begins MWF Superfans. . .hope you come along with for a ride that culminates Saturday, September 22nd at Memorial Hall in Melrose, yes, the our 11th anniversary BIG BANG BIRTHDAY BASH!! Get ready for months and weeks of a professional wrestling roller coaster as we prepare to celebrate MWF style!! Our anniversary event has been a lot of fun and action packed the past couple of years. . .you never know who or what to expect at the BBBB. MWF North President Paul Bearer had this one lined up before SOUL SURVIVOR VIII began but held off on making the announcement to the live crowd at Memorial Hall not knowing what Cena's reaction was going to be when he dropped his bombshell on him.
The Millennium Wrestling Federation held it's first event, BIG BANG, September 28th, 2001 at Wonderland Greyhound Park in Revere, MA, former home of ECW from 1996-1999.
