UPDATE 5/4:  good news fans!  My assumption was correct, as BIlly was sent a generic release letter from WWE.  When his no compete deal expires July 19th, he will legally be able to use his birth name along with the names Billy Graham and "Superstar" Billy Graham in any capacity in and out of wrestling, including the TNA wrestling promotion.

ORIGINAL STORY 5/1:  Is it safe to be away from the computer anymore??  Less than 48 hours after taking the little Mirade's to Orlando, FL for some fun after missing Easter for the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion and an Iron Sheik babysitting session, urgent news came to me from "Superstar" Billy Graham that he requested be posted immediately while I had a three year old latched onto me watching Spongebob.  Earlier this week, the efforts of Billy, John Cena Sr., Karl Lauer of the CAC, WWE and myself, over $1,100 was raised for Shiloh Pepin (aka Mermaid Girl) and her family to attend WWE Backlash in Providence.  As touching of a story as that one, this one pulls at the strings of your heart in a different way.

There are many things I dislike about the wrestling business, a sport I love with all my heart.  From the day I was welcomed into it's world 15 plus years ago, it kills me to see what many of the veterans and legends have gone through post-wrestling.  That's why I love the CAC;  that's why the Millennium Wrestling Federation always has (and always will) try to raise funds for those in need and could use a helping hand.

My good friend "Superstar" Billy Graham is an icon in this sport, one that fellow legends immitated.  Upon his release from WWE (which he unfortunately found out about when we were in Las Vegas at the CAC a couple of weeks back), he believes that he is unable to use the name "Superstar" Billy Graham any longer, even though he was given the name years before he ever competed for any version of the present day WWE.  After reading the release WWE sent to him (see below), I believe it is proverbial cut and paste wording used in all contracts.  Again, that is just my opinion from reading it and having read other ex-WWE stars written releases.  However, while the situation resolves itself, Billy has asked that we post the actual paperwork mailed to him, which has caused him a great deal of stress and worry.  Fans around the world can judge for themselves;  hopefully it is just a misunderstanding as I can't imagine that WWE  would want to take away the name the man has built a legacy upon and not be able to use it support his family.  No matter what the end result is, he will always be "Superstar" Billy Graham to millions of fans around the world!
