Just when you think ROAD TO THE GOLD couldn't get any bigger, President Cena did just that! This Saturday night in Melrose, TNA superstar "The Monster" Abyss will go to war with the massive Max Bauer of Ox Baker's evil Army!
Mr. Cena sent us the following:
Into the darkness went the big man after literally being cheated out of the MWF Championship last fall in a match. The match was: Todd Hanson vs Abyss vs Big Rick Fuller vs Brian Milonas. Now at Road to the Gold there will be no light, for the darkness has returned and is returning with a vengeance. Irate and upset over his loss he is back and if I were Max Bauer I would be looking over both shoulders. Abyss returns to face off against the big man know as Bauer. Abyss had assured me that he will literally rip Bauer apart and anyone else that tries to interfere. He will exact his revenge in a methodical way as only Abyss can do it. Bauer you could be Abyss' Thanksgiving Turkey as he rips you apart and then breaks the wishbone. This is a match that I personally am waiting to see and if I were a betting man I would be betting on the darkness and the monster cause Max Bauer as Abyss says, "You will need a hospital room after this match and will have to be fed your Thanksgiving dinner through a straw!!"
Abyss, fresh off a victory over Mick Foley at TNA Bound For Glory, quickly became a target of the Army upon debuting in the MWF in the spring of 2008. Bauer has been on a roll since joining the MWF, yet to be defeated in singles or tag team action, and the ruthless Vito Carluccio will be in his corner.
